What to expect in the upcoming update. January 2026

Hello, survivors!

The holidays are over and it’s time to get back to work. We have a lot of exciting new things planned for this year. But before one gets to the best part, there has to be a good buildup. The upcoming small update will help us with that.

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This also applies to all visual materials.

Events in the update

The upcoming update will bring back a couple of familiar brawls, as well as a new one. Get ready to feel like a Dovahkiin again and throw around your opponents in the “Impulsiveness” mode. Next, you’ll switch to armoured cars equipped with the “Doom” minelayer and try to blow up as many enemies as possible in the “Wheels of Doom” brawl.

After that, try out the new “Tag symphony” brawl. Jump behind the wheel of an armoured car equipped with the “ATGM Flute” and wreak controlled chaos in a free for all battle. The one with the best aim wins!

Mary and Jane are always involved in some kind of shady business. And in the next update, they have a traditional event for you with various useful rewards.

The update will also include various small nice changes. We have improved the camera behavior when moving against its direction, for example, backwards. Now the camera will move away, which will allow you to crash into something or someone less often.

In addition, the update will include a number of other improvements, as well as fixes for known bugs and the release of previously announced balance changes.

That’s all for now. See you soon in future entries about the new season. Good luck in battle!

Still hoping they update the mode into having some real strategy and gameplay instead of equipping Spike/Toadfish and click button for instant kill by impulse speed alone. Like they should really turn off the whole “Build is traveling through the air at X speed instantly kill player” for this mode and let people actually kill players instead of free success if you can afford/own these specific weapons. Oh well at least you can now use Arothrons to do the same I guess

This I am somewhat excited for, flute-only mode sounds like fun on paper, depends on the builds and maps but I feel like it would be really hard to screw this up in any way

Dread

Further dread

Only time will tell how it works but any time they’ve altered the camera in the past I have not been happy or thought it’s better than it was before (like moving the camera closer to the build and lower in general way way back when they did that. Might have even been during the supercharged update). Really hope this won’t just make the camera feel worse than it is now, as even as it is now is worse than it was originally
