What to expect in the upcoming update. March 2025 -they got the year wrong -2026 …

Hello, survivors!

The snow is beginning to thaw outside, and the spring draws near. But it is always blazing hot in the Wasteland, especially while the “Playing with fire” season is still going. The next update will bring a lot of new content. So much so that one blog entry won’t be enough to cover it all.

So for now, let’s take a look at some of the new features coming in the March update. We can expect a new relic weapon, a completely redesigned visual style of the interface, new and familiar brawls, as well as an Easter event and balance changes. Let’s dive in!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This also applies to all visual materials.

Brawls in the update

Some familiar game modes will return in this update, starting with “Rippers”, where armoured cars will now change from battle to battle to make the fights more interesting. We’ll also return inside the new versions of the Leviathans we built for the “Toy car on board” brawl. Finally, we’ll finish off the update with the “Firefight” brawl and another round of reruns of the “Operation” brawl series.

And on April 1, a new fun mode called “Cat and mouse” will launch. It has eight survivors playing as tiny mice, and a delicious cake appears somewhere on the map. The mouse that gets to the treat first and eats it becomes a big cat, but not forever. While the cake’s effect is active, the cat must hunt the mice. When the dessert’s effect wears off, the cycle of hunting for cake begins again.

Relic crossbow

This is a one huge crossbow. Does it fire three projectiles at once? Well, almost at once. And what a powerful impulse it has!

The relic counterpart of “Toadfish” is best utilized with two pieces mounted on the armoured car. The crossbow is loaded with three projectiles, which can be fired one at a time or in rapid succession. There are two ways to use this mechanic.

You can quickly fire three projectiles in succession, but if you wait for a bit, the crossbow will show itself from a different side. If you release the bolts not immediately but with a slight delay, each one will gain additional power. The improved projectile will have increased penetration ability, and it will also deal periodic damage to the part it hits and heat it up. In addition, the accuracy and impulse of the improved bolt are significantly higher.

That is, the bonuses work for the second and third projectiles in a single volley. The first bolt fired will always be normal, but what happens next is up to you.

Other new features

We would like to thank everyone who participated in testing the new interface style. It will be added to the game in the next update. We have made some improvements based on your feedback.

Don’t forget that Easter is just around the corner. This year, in addition to the traditional Easter egg hunt, you can also expect a special workbench with interesting items.

It’s also time for a new pack with the first heavy version of a certain futuristic movement part, along with other new items.

In addition, the update will include a number of other improvements, as well as fixes for known bugs and previously announced balance changes.

So what does Wade want to tell us? Something big is coming in the next update. We’ll find out very soon. See you in future developer blog entries. Good luck in battles!

we have enough crap in the game that heats parts up! :man_facepalming:

oh isnt that just great? yet another relic that will without a doubt use battlepass items to make thus driving up the cost for them and giving the devs yet another reason to sell us more mini battlepasses to lower the cost of said items required to make this. gee isnt this game so great?!

RIGHT!?

Whelp, guess that’s the next magic dragon to chase for all the coraxsexuals now that they nerf the corax and ouroboros-scorpions might not be the next big thing they can all hop aboard. SO basically smashing a toadfish and an acari/fukibari together for one pay2wing op crap to milk whales.

Don’t get me wrong I like crossbows and the design looks awesome, but I have been playing 8 years and I’ve yet to gain access to relics through casual almost daily gameplay

Hoping it truly is something interesting instead of knightriders/vultures or eagles or whatever that did not last long-workbench with 0 changes for the Xth time in a row

Please don’t be some stupid arbitrary change nobody asked for that makes the game even worse

New ripper cars, might be interesting.
Toy cars on board, hoping that the leviathans are not the only things that are new, the builds themselves kinda felt lackluster to play when this first rolled out.

Really hoping it is actually fun/10. But on paper it kinda sounds like a mix between the cake mode ages ago with animals, and the giant T-rex mode. So it has genuine potential to be good and fun

meh

I wonder if it will be heavy hovers lol…

LMAOOOO hahaha

corax but relic, finally we have something that will revive this game again after years of a shrinking playerbase. hopefully it will deal 500 damage per hit, shoot twice a second and cost 80,000 coins. that will surely pull in new players

dont forget to add the old battlepass weapons as requirements to make it! you know, the ones we cant get anymore and that they sell to us in mini battlepasses to make a cheap dollar off of.

looking at a certain person who defended this saying its a good deal for newbies…

This sounds so stupid, I can’t tell if this is satire bait or mental incapacitation.

this reeks of DkMafia lmao

normally it would be obvious but since we are in the crossout community, its fair enough you cant tell

in an ideal scenario they should shut down crossout and relocate the playerbase to a mental institution, it would be better for everyone

When will the reporting system actually start working? When will in‑game cheating finally be addressed? Auto‑aim software and similar tools are still widely used. Why do we have an anti‑cheat launcher at the start if it doesn’t detect anything? At the very least, can players we report be manually reviewed and banned?

they dont care.

hate to be the one to spill the boiling hot coffee on you but, never. the devs dont care enough for reports or the games playerbase to take action against bad / troll people. they only care about money and so long as whales keep tossing money at them they just dont care.

it was poony actually. he defended this saying that “its a good deal for beginners / people who want to buy something cheap for a clan wars build” or something along those lines. i disagreed with it because of multiple reasons.
