New mecha season in Crossout. Part 2

Part 1

Hello, survivors!

Let’s continue to learn about what new features are coming in the new season. This time we would like to talk about the new legendary cabin that builds upon the “Omnibox”, and have a look at the new legendary grenade launcher with two firing modes. Let’s go!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Legendary grenade launcher

The Scavengers have an explosive surprise for you!

The main feature of the new grenade launcher is two firing modes. If you make one quick click, the grenade launcher fires a projectile, which will burst into several small explosive fragments on impact. In this mode, the grenade launcher does area damage.

If you hold down the firing button, the grenade launcher will fire a solid projectile, which will not shatter on impact and will not create additional explosions. This mode reduces the spread and increases the damage of the projectile itself, allowing you to use the grenade launcher at long range like a cannon.

The perk of the legendary weapon allows you to increase the damage with precision shooting. It is better to activate it in the first mode. The damage of the next shot will increase for each part hit by the explosion.

Legendary cabin

The new medium cabin builds upon the “Omnibox”. It also has two modes and permanent bonuses based on the mechanics of its predecessor, but these bonuses can be further enhanced during battle.

The first mode will increase maximum speed and power. Additionally, the first mode accumulates a bonus to damage based on the distance you have travelled, but you can activate this bonus only in the second mode.

The second mode increases the maximum damage of all weapons. Additionally, in the second mode, the cabin accumulates the bonuses to maximum speed and power. To do this, you need to deal damage to enemies. These bonuses can only be activated in the first mode. Note that the higher the rarity of your weapons, the more damage you will need to deal to accumulate the bonus.

The cabin requires constant movement and accurate shooting, as well as frequent change of modes according to the situation on the battlefield.

New structural parts

Also, starting this September, Crossout will have four Battle Passes per year instead of three. The levelling will become faster, and more content will be released per year, including free content. The content of each pass may be slightly reduced, but the number of levels and overall value will not change.

Let’s keep walking through all the new features together in the developer blog entries. The next one is coming soon, and it will finally bring news about the new mechanical legs. Stay tuned!

->content of each pass reduced
->overall value will not change
press [X] to doubt, really really hard

New parts, kinda meh grenade launchers are really not that great and neither is explosive damage in general. Who knows it might be another Retcher that is just good for no apparent reason while all other grenade launchers struggle to get anything done, but not exactly high hopes. Legendary Omnibox, sounds like a more convoluted Omnibox and mine already sits in my inventory most of the times as I have better reload boosting cabs for reload weapon builds 9/10 times

I think that just means there will be more legendary items, and less low-value rewards like resource crates.

Sounds good to me!

And damn those parts look cool.

One more step towards mech legs !

Cannon grenade launcher? I like the spund of that. I really just want to know how fast is the reload? If it reloads and charges its long shot fast, we might have an actual half-step between cannons and autocannons. Because the median is garbage.

Pun intended?

so… its like an arothron at close range?

interesting… so why is this a legendary? if thats a legendary then i can only imagine what a relic grenade launcher will look like…

oh great. how much of a bonus will it give i wonder… hopefully its not to ridiculous.

id use the damage perk over this as its easier to get but thats just me.

why cant you just use that extra battlepass to make improvements to the game. you know, more modes and whatnot instead of more battlepasses and temporary events?

siiiiigh :man_facepalming:

MudnBeer not questioning you but the actual Devs blog

Seems the company needs an income boost? Not being nasty just hope it isn’t the last ditch effort to save the game but an improvement.

Very excited to see the results. Perhaps if it is as I hope it is, It will draw in more clients to the game. Strange Gaijin is being “Generous” Finally throwing the dog a bone ? (Not meant to be nasty) But baiting the F2P clients possibly? What the hey, If it works great.

This would be a good change, as it feels like the battle passes are pretty littered with fodder rewards and bloat items

Sadly the option of less weapons etc parts people actually care about and more cosmetic bloat items and cool stickers and resource crates is also a very possible option with what kind of a track record this game has

Stickers on Counter Strike sell for thousands of dollars. I sold a duck for 4k the other day. People care about looks and decor for sure.

LOL The only ones I get are not tradeable. And usually low appeal to boot.

It looked to me like helicopters will still be allowed in Patrol, and that this new Arcade mode will just replace the PvP helicopter modes.
I like helicopter PvP, but so few people play it that the wait times are too long. I’m hoping arcade mode and mech legs change that.
I have my doubts that the competitive players will be dominating arcade, unless the rewards are big enough to attract them. I’m just hoping enough people like it that queue times are short.

I’m on console, and at the PS ranges I play most often, PVP matches will load in about 30 seconds, while aircraft PVP often takes over a minute, and often only has two human players and three bots.

I like the PVP heli modes though… :sob:

Strange  perhaps its the time of day ? I don’t know … But I haven’t had any issues and the player roster was full except for may one bot now & then. Then I have seen 5 or more heli’s in one battle.
