The Syndicate returns in the new Crossout season. Part 2

Part 1

Hello, survivors!

Let’s continue to explore the new features of the upcoming “Wasteland drift” season. In this entry, we would like to tell you about the legendary crossbow and the epic light wheels. So that’s who’s been messing around with the plasma. The next update will also have the new relic plasma emitter!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

The “Fukibari” legendary crossbow

The new weapon has come a long way since the time of its medieval ancestor with the help of Syndicate high technology.

“Fukibari” shoots a burst of three spikes that deal damage and attach to the enemy. The projectiles heat up the part they stuck to and deal periodic damage to it. If you find yourself attacked by the new crossbow and end up with the spikes stuck in your car, we advise you to seek out an ally who can help shoot them off before it’s too late.

The most efficient way to use “Fukibari” is to aim for the largest and most durable enemy parts. The weapon’s high periodic damage would allow you to severely damage such parts.

The “Uwabaki” epic light wheels

To complement the new light cabin, the Syndicate has also prepared new light wheels. “Uwabaki” encourage active play in the thick of battle.

For each enemy within a small radius of you, “Uwabaki” increase the power of your armoured car. The perk has a limit on the number of counted enemies. The most important thing is not to crash into enemies! If you make contact with an enemy, the bonus resets. Being careful and bold at the same time is the key to unlocking the potential of “Uwabaki”.

The “Nemesis” relic plasma emitter

The new relic weapon is not part of the new Battle pass. “Nemesis” is crafted at a workbench, like the other relic parts.

Dawn’s children send their regards. The new relic is the crowning achievement of the plasma emitter technology branch. A powerful and super-technological weapon capable of slaughtering anyone with bursts of glowing plasma. The relic weapon requires charging to fire, but if you wait a bit, the “Nemesis” perk will cancel out this drawback.

While you are not firing, the weapon accumulates charges up to a certain limit. One such charge significantly speeds up the charging of a volley. If you use the mechanic correctly and do not try to jump into the fight on the front line, then a little later you will have a great chance to enter the battle on your own terms and leave melted wrecks of enemies in your path.

New structural parts

And what about the new PvP map? Let’s turn to the next blog entry for answers. It’s coming soon, stay tuned.

Well I’m very interested in the Fukibari. It sounds like a souped-up version of the Acari. I’m already using a triple-Toadfish build…now if I only had more reasonably-priced bp slots to build a car around it…

Nemesis looks interesting too, but relics are out of my reach.

A new map? Could use one based on the swamps of New Jersey…ride in the swamp, you’re stuck, game over for you. Would make for interesting melee battles…ram your opponent into the swamp, he sinks down, releases trapped methane gas, boom!

Alright, another relic! I can’t afford a single relic of anything but at least we got another relic! Woo hoo!!!

The new wheels with the new engine and cabin are going to be very popular with me.

Bring me my slippers.

I’m pretty sure somebody around here was lobbying for new rims just recently.

I’m sure they will be pleased.

Oh…and a new map too? Nice!

I know I’m speaking to the 1%ers but I hope the weapons are Leviathan friendly, would like to see more diversity in that field.

and yet ANOTHER weapon that heats parts. :man_facepalming:
i can also see this weapon being a problem depending how much energy it uses.
on top of this which team mate is actually going to help you if one of these attaches to your car? oh thats right, none of them because they dont care.
i can see these becoming a problem in pvp because of their ability. it says it has “high periodic damage” which means itll do alot of damage to weapons like mastodons but also alot of damage to weapons like arbiters to.
idk this weapon just feels off to me…

more wheels to add to my dust pile.
im not creative enough to make art builds so i tend to just toss these in my storage and forget about them.

oh great another weapon thats gonna be about 80k when it first comes out. how much you wanna bet its gonna cost battlepass items to make as well?

ummm this is a major issue. we have the module (power unit) that cuts the charge time for plasma emitter weapons and combined with this i can see this weapon being able to fire so insanely fast. depending on the amount it lowers and how much energy it uses i can see this being the new meta relic.

The increase of part heating/cooling just makes the Kami more relevant, which is good, it deserves to be.

Also, more use for an Argus.

Yaaaayyyy… something else I’ll never afford… :unamused:

Still want that engine though…

The crossbow looks interesting, depending on how much energy it is (if you can only run 1 of them or if you can put 2 on a build) it might be pretty neat. I don’t see you being able to fit 3 on a build unless the damage and effectiveness is low enough, but if it is then it’s pretty much just a pea shooter.

New relic, luckily not that interesting for me, not that I could even gain access to one even if I wanted to, been playing almost daily since 2019 and have yet to own a single relic, let alone many sets of even legendaries and never been anywhere close to even consider fusing legendaries.

Other than that not really interested in the parts, new engine might be cool to allow for better builds without needing an Odin due to energy costs, but new wheels…looks like wheels I guess, has a perk of sorts, it’s…a wheel

Structural parts, are parts I guess. Still have not been WOW’d by these two reveals, and even if I was I really do not want to put any money into this game and feed bad business practices and poor decisions regarding aspects of this game. It’s been a steady downhill climb since the Supercharged update with some good sprinkled here and there but even more so bad decisions. They can keep their paywalled items honestly by this point and who cares about forced clan, mech leg and heli participation and grinding out battle pass challenges forcing you to play things and modes you do not want to play

Outside of the new engine, I’m not that impressed either.

Yesterday I saw a new legendary hover that can be mounted anywhere. Can you drift in a hover? Does that count?

If this stuff was from the Ravens, I would find it irresistible. I’m not that into Japanese cars, but I liked the Jannabi. It doesn’t really work anymore though, and I don’t expect this one to either.

I’d rather have seen the Inferno, or some other muscle car, paired with those wheels and that Legendary whatever in this pass, instead of this Jannabi II…I’m really only interested in the wheels, and I could probably get those without the pass.

I haven’t made up my mind, but it’s Christmas and I’d like to be able to get something I’d enjoy. I’m not convinced this pass is that, though.

What’ll probably happen is that I’ll wait until I’ve made my way through it, leveled it all up, and then I’ll realize I can live without it and not buy it. That’s what’s been happening for years now. I’m not very turned on by the Legendary gear. I don’t feel like it’s the flex they’d like it to be.

Yeah it was nice back when there were not that many damage boosting cabins, but it’s been made obsolete by cabs giving the damage boost, or some other gun type specific boost but through way more easier ways than drifting

Feels very much dead on arrival, kinda like the legendary omnibox from this current pass

There probably aren’t very many guns in this game with a hit-box and rotation speed that will accommodate this kind of high action kinetic fighting. All that whipping back and forth, side to side, requires nearly instant response from your guns and a very high rotation speed.

The funky hit-boxes obstructing the pitch and attitude of your aiming with invisible collision means running a basically naked build. Lexi might be able to make that shit work upwards of 9K, but I’m not so confident I can. These days I think I struggle to do that at 5K. I think that’s the name of the game with this new cab though.
