i went over to the reddit post about the devs announcing the ravens path event and faley is getting his butt handed to him by the community. its no surprise that people are enraged by the devs choices to put in casings, a resource we can no longer obtain, as the item of choice to make these weapons / wheels / etc.
i really dont blame people for being upset and really im upset that they would do that to. i hope they change it but i dont have hopes that they will.

Everyone I spoke with, is pissed off too. I had enough casings to craft one Emily, but I guess that’s all I’ll be crafting, because I sure as hell ain’t gonna buy casings.
agreed. i only have 15 casings and its enough for 2 gun mount wheels lol…
this has to be one of the biggest insults the devs have thrown at us.
I think the point is to try and drain the casings players have. I hope anyways

I enjoyed driving around getting casings etc.
Does anyone know why the accruing of casings & coupons was removed anyway? I remember when it happened, but I don’t remember being told why. Since you could only get casings in the adventure mode, maybe too many people were going into that mode and it was a drag on the servers? 
no idea. i herd that they had to many resources in the game and they wanted to get rid of some.
coupons however had no real uses for them, it was just get a temporary crate and i guess that was it. you couldnt use them to make anything like weapons or modules. im guessing they wanted to get rid of those because of the lack of use. on top of that they were HEAVILY limited on how many you could get per day to. so i guess there was that reason.
as for casings though i dont think there was ever a real reason given.
buddy, this has literally been going on for YEARS. the only people who have them now are whales. whales who want to constantly inflate the prices of these things to rip people off. if this is the case whats stopping whales from buying up the entire stock and just keeping it in their inventories forever and making the casings stay in the game?
they needed to be added back to adventure as well as the adventure mode weeklies to. its a fricken shame they got rid of it. i want my free badges.

The casings situation is so dumb and nonsensical.
Either get rid of them completely, or let us grind them again. Using them for this event makes no sense at all.
If Poony4u is complaining about it, you know it’s got to be really bad.

The only explanation that comes close to explaining it is that they forgot we can’t earn casings anymore, but I refuse to believe they could be that dumb.
someone on reddit was saying that the devs were intentionally mocking us in a stream. saying stuff on how they will let us spend our overflow of casings or something like that. i didnt see the stream though, so this means the devs do indeed know about it but just dont care and want to mock the entire playerbase for it.
the devs know about it but dont want to do anything.
the problem here is we also have an excess of coupons in the game and they done nothing to help us get rid of them. sure there was a few things in the past that used coupons but not more then casings. the CM on reddit to is incredibly silent and even he knew that the community would be outraged by the ravens event. nobody is happy about this but they arent replying to anyone and anyone trying to reach out to them has been given the silent treatment to.
The mocking will stop when enough wallets stay shut.
except the whales are to… umm… up their own bumpers… to realize that the game devs and publishers dont care about them. they dump hundreds into the game because they must have their day 1 pump-n-dump fix. they will drop hundreds into the game day 1 to have an advantage over everyone else and they dont care about it even as the player base dwindles. whales will always be whales and defend a game like a cult no matter what game its in. heck look no further then the pokemon community if you want something just as toxic as crossout.

As far as I know both were similar issues:
Coupons had very little being crafted with them, and with raiding going on daily they were practically valueless.
Casings were in a slightly better spot until people started speed running adventure mode. Again outflow onto the market would pretty much have made them valueless.
So they basically removed them to increase demand for the items they could craft. See thread:
Sadly they might never get them all out of the game unless they look at how many are held by players that haven’t been on in years.
They ain’t gonna fix it, whoever’s running the show wants the game to die
