I find it ridiculous that they use Discord over their own forum.

Plus they make it extra difficult to get an account.

While the forum is definitely nothing to be happy about, I still would not join some skibidi-ahhh discord server, especially a crossout one. The fact that it is a discord server + a crossout one is like a double negative by itself already and even at itā€™s best I imagine the quality is about the same as bedlam/general chat in-game and I donā€™t think anyone can imagine their opinions will ever have any effect on this game and how it is being handled no matter where they are expressed.

I mean reddit already in general is usually a no wrongthinking thought uhm you are not allowed to have that opinion, and I imagine the discord is even worse. I feel like making use of the discord is pretty much just plain out getting on your knees and opening your mouth wide and sucking off the people ā€œin chargeā€ of the game and whatever cancerous social elite group has formed over time over top clans and friends of developers and gmā€™s and such trash folk and my ass canā€™t take bending over that much and taking it daily just to be a part of some humongous shitshow.

The devs should use their own forum. Iā€™ve read too much negative stuff about discord, what goes on there, and how itā€™s been used as a gateway to ā€œdoxingā€ people and other nefarious sh!t. I avoid all social media, and donā€™t feel Iā€™m missing a thing. The most I ever took part in was chat boards for various hobbies I was involved in; the audience were mostly mature, and the b.s. was lighthearted.

I think you guys may be right.
I just got a 3 days discord ban from defending myself against a relentless immature horde of ignorant troll people, with kindness and understanding, never using insults or attacking anyone.

I relate Heavily with that lol, any time I bring up Hovers needing nerfs iā€™m attackedā€¦ I just want them Balanced, specifically light cabs with hovers. They dodge shots soooo easily. I donā€™t see why talking about an acceleration nerf would get people sooo mad but whatever.

Iā€™d say the forums are probably a better place to be even with the injokes and overall familiarity of all of the pre-existing members lol

Unfortunately itā€™s harder to get things going with the forum accountā€¦ I have to do all that before I can post my own topic?? SMH lol
The only reason I made an account was to post my own topic not jump through hoops for two weeksā€¦ or is it a hundred days?! Iā€™ve been on a few forums and this ā€˜Trust Systemā€™ takes the cake man.

Itā€™s annoying, but we have had recurring issues with AI bots, and I think this is the only way theyā€™ve been able to keep them from spamming the forum.

That is a solid point, but I think they went just a bit overboard IMO

I did join the Discord but it seems like they lost interest in assisting with my project so I continue to jump the hoops on the forums lol
It seems like the ones from the Discord wouldnā€™t take the effort to come to the forums though so maybe thats a good thing lol

I tried again giving the discord channel a go.
Everything you say there is instantly ridiculed by multiple toxic kids, even when you remain steady and composed, all you get there is ego trippers and insults, what sad community there.
I didnt give the trolls there more of my time, and told them goodbye in their echo chamber.

the discord is pretty much the only place the devs read, so if you want them to see anything you need to post it there and deal with the discord gnomes.
obviously the devs still dont care what you post, but at least they might see it

Discord seems to be just likes and dislikes.

there are a few select regulars who are just children that shitpost in the general chat 24/7, you should ignore them and not argue because its pointless.

but other than that, the discord is still a much better place to ā€œcommunicateā€ with the devs than the forum
