Flamethrowers don’t have 100 percent piercing, they have 100 percent penetration. A Crossout flamethrower is really a projectile of some kind that does heat damage. It just appears to be a steady stream. When a part burns through and the projectile is not spent, it moves on to the next one to heat and burn that one until it is spent. Flamethrowers only do slightly more damage than before. If they pierced like a Scorpion, they would triple their current damage.

100% accurate. Earlier(before update) they were also limited, but now projectiles are better(not sure if also smaller for firedog that can reach parts he could not before), so the firedog too. and 100% penetration dont mean much, since i belive 1 firedog projectile is not much damage anyway, but there are a lot of them, so even 10% penetration would not change much.

Hovers are mostly get eaten by fire-dogs now. Hvys can manage if properly built, but i seen that some dogs(some clans invention) tried counter hvy builds, while still killing hovers, so it feel like it might go wrong route if something is not countered much by other builds.

I have a firedog that can kill heavy spiders pretty easily. It is a Blight on 6 Omni wheels with a Golden Eagle. There are 2 Bugs and a Draco in the center. The Draco is fused for burning 25 percent hotter. You Omni circle around big Spiders then burn them in the side or the rear. This build doesn’t take hovers very well because of the low 100KPH speed and the lack of a Flash.

I’ve already given up, this game isn’t worth the frustration. That changing op parts is just a system to win wallets.

umm…we have another one! :face_with_peeking_eye:

well, most hvys, not us  Tho agree draco is even better than firebug in this case anyway.

See you later then.

Maybe we will see you in another game.

Good luck :+1:

What do you share that in the show your build thread? I’d like to check it out. I rarely play flamethrowers and need to better learn how to build them.

A-man reminds me of the cat who kept coming back cause he just couldn’t stay away

Reminds me of a girl I dated in college who kept coming back long after I had dumped her… drunk, crying, begging for attention. At least there was some physical fun to be had with her… I can’t say the same for this troll.

Yeah, my bad, I misplace terms often :frowning:

So can it burn Sleipnir through or not?

No, unless it kill it. it work same like projectile, because it is projectile.
So it will pass through “shoot through” parts without limits, not like before update(before was 2 meter limit for projectiles).

100% pierce means, that if weapon do 20 damage in single “tick” and there is 10 hp part, then another 10 damage go to next part.

Generally Hovers loose most on it, since bottom are frames mostly.

So it’s gun mounts, Gerridae, and a few bumpers only?

yes, also frames ofc.

But its also about no more 2 meter limit after structural part die, where firedog fire distance is much longer than 6-7 pins.

You can read more detail here: [PC][PS][Xbox] Crossout: Road to Singularity - News - Crossout

section: Changes in the mechanics of projectile damage

I’ve read that and the full acticle too, thanks.

The problem was with the mechanic of flamethrower itself.

I can say fused Sleipnir can withstand only 4 seconds of uninterrupted 3-Remedy fire.

I don’t have any other flamethrowers so that’s pretty much all I can say on the matter. Although I may assume 2-3 Draco will be able to ram off the Sleipnir on collision.

sleipnir is like 1600 HP against firedog, my goliath also go in 6 seconds i guess when all fire projectiles go into it.
So i guess its fine, just put 2-4 sleipnirs in front hehe.

Go exhibition, take example firedog and try in garage on your build

Not in my case. It took about ~500 damage to destroy one (heated ofc).

Nah, I only needed to know how flamethrowers work. I’m not planning to use either in any battles, thanks.
