Dogs fever at PVP and CW

Ah… yes, facing a group of them is pretty rough. I’m betting you’re facing teams, too… three or four guys who have grouped up & are coordinating their attacks. Firedogs or not, when you’re playing solo & facing teams, it’s all but impossible to do well.

I do think when that new engine gets more broadly distributed into the game, firedogs start to disappear.

Meanwhile, the only suggestion I have is when you’re facing teams - or even just getting beaten up, change your build. Go a couple of thousand PowerScore points up or down. That should put you with different groups of players.

If you have the Slepnir tracks, try mounting them instead of whatever else you’re using. They soak up fire.

Good luck!

How do flamethrowers work now, with their 100% piercing? Shouldn’t every track let damage through?

Sounds like we need someone to test this out in the test drive!

They pierce shootthrough parts and frames. Also Gremlins, some bumpers and the new gerrida legs. Anything with passthrough in its description. Anything solid, they do not pìerce whatsoever. But if a flame has 50 damage per tick and does 25 damage, it will continue on and inflict 25 damage to the next part it can reach.

I forgot about Kami. Guessing it will become more popular if firedogs become more popular.

Let’s not act as if the good dogs aren’t using omni camera steering

Well I burnt you couple of times, sorry! Dogs require skills as everything else. You have to manage to get there in cloack preferably. Can’t change direction as quick as with hoover. Reverse speed is a fraction compared to a hoover. Have half of durab compared to heavy builds. Also have to outmanouver agile scorp builds. Mg hoovers reverse abnormal speed becouse of recoil. Not to mention max PS with draco is around 14k, but matchmaking gives you opponents up till 18k in PVP. I would worry about heavy spiders with New legs, kaiju and reaper comming in groups. Thats why retchers are more popular recently.

hvy kill dogs, dogs kill snipers(scorps), snipers(scorps) kill hvy - closed circle.

Every other build is somewhere between.

But ye, im little worry dogs found some way recently(some clans) to win this circle lol.
So i could agree DJ4war with u a little. Anyway i prefer see dogs than hovers 80% time for long time now.

But anyway its about having multiple builds to counter what enemy have.

Flamethrowers don’t have 100 percent piercing, they have 100 percent penetration. A Crossout flamethrower is really a projectile of some kind that does heat damage. It just appears to be a steady stream. When a part burns through and the projectile is not spent, it moves on to the next one to heat and burn that one until it is spent. Flamethrowers only do slightly more damage than before. If they pierced like a Scorpion, they would triple their current damage.

100% accurate. Earlier(before update) they were also limited, but now projectiles are better(not sure if also smaller for firedog that can reach parts he could not before), so the firedog too. and 100% penetration dont mean much, since i belive 1 firedog projectile is not much damage anyway, but there are a lot of them, so even 10% penetration would not change much.

Hovers are mostly get eaten by fire-dogs now. Hvys can manage if properly built, but i seen that some dogs(some clans invention) tried counter hvy builds, while still killing hovers, so it feel like it might go wrong route if something is not countered much by other builds.

I have a firedog that can kill heavy spiders pretty easily. It is a Blight on 6 Omni wheels with a Golden Eagle. There are 2 Bugs and a Draco in the center. The Draco is fused for burning 25 percent hotter. You Omni circle around big Spiders then burn them in the side or the rear. This build doesn’t take hovers very well because of the low 100KPH speed and the lack of a Flash.

I’ve already given up, this game isn’t worth the frustration. That changing op parts is just a system to win wallets.

umm…we have another one! :face_with_peeking_eye:

well, most hvys, not us  Tho agree draco is even better than firebug in this case anyway.

What do you share that in the show your build thread? I’d like to check it out. I rarely play flamethrowers and need to better learn how to build them.

A-man reminds me of the cat who kept coming back cause he just couldn’t stay away

Reminds me of a girl I dated in college who kept coming back long after I had dumped her… drunk, crying, begging for attention. At least there was some physical fun to be had with her… I can’t say the same for this troll.
