I even tried this way.
I think I should give up on this game
Your best bet then is to send in a support ticket like they suggested in the error message they gave you (support.gaijin.net/hc/). Let us know what they say, and good luck.
did you update windows recently? if you did maybe eac doesnt support the newest version
From further reading, it seems that the problem is caused by a windows 11 update identified as “KB5044376”. People with the same problem rolled this update back, and were able to play. Apparently EAC has not addressed this update yet.
It was also suggested to set “easyanticheat.exe” to run with administrator permissions. Go to “C:\Program Files(x86)\easyanticheat\easyanticheat.exe”; click properties; click compatibility; check the “run this program as an administrator”.
Good luck. We all know that these kind of issues are pure B.S. and are unnecessary.
Hello! My husband has been having constant error codes when trying to launch this game so I decided to try and fix it for him. I tried multiple things with the anti-cheat system and nothing was working. I noticed a program called Razer Cortex kept trying to optimize every time I tried launching the game. I uninstalled Razer Cortex and the game launched immediately! Just wanted to let y’all know what fixed it for us to see if anyone else had a similar problem with these programs.
I have the Razer Deathadder mouse, but never installed Cortex. Glad I didn’t. Thanks for the research!
+1 From me pls what update wrong… Win11 Reinstal / Delete / other options not work.
Did you just do a Windows 11 update? A friend of mine got his computer totally messed up by a Windows 11 update this morning, and while researching, I came across this: Read this It’s for another game, but looks like the same error you’re getting.
Basically, you’ll need to update easy-anticheat.
1. Go to the Easy Anti-Cheat folder (within your Crossout folder)
2. Run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe file
3. Choose the option to Repair or Install Easy Anti-Cheat
4. Restart your pc and test the game
(In my friend’s case, I had him roll back the updates, and everything was ok. He was experiencing loss of sound, programs took forever to launch, applications suddenly disappeared, was told his OS was unlicensed, and other uncalled-for nonsense.)
this was the first time i tried all the fixes listed but it didn’t work. According to the easy anticheat page something is blocking access to the resource. I reinstalled the entire Windows 11 last night. Now i can play (with the base win11) xD it was 3 hours… and now what if i never update windows?
One of the working options
I had same error. I tried as suggested, updating EAC, etc didn’t work. I suspected latest Windows 11 Update (version 24H2) screwed up EAC (because this error happens after i updated Windows). I decided to go back to previous version (23H2). PC restarting, screen went black, about 5 mins it’s done It’s working all right again. Now Im playing Crossout. I suggest to pause Windows Update (max 1 week i think), to give EAC time to patch its software to be compatible the latest Windows version. Lesson learned: don’t update Windows right away. wait at least few days.
The Problem is caused by the latest Windows 11 Security Update.
Or… let’s say it’s caused by the easy anti cheat version - but it occurs after the latest security Update.
Reverting the security update helps - but is not the solution i prefer.
Which security update specifically? I have uninstalled the last updates and one of them keeps reinstalling itself 5 minutes after I remove it… KB5055523 sec update. Whether I reboot or not, it keeps reinserting itself even with disabling updates! Windows is pissing me off with this… One more day on an event and I can’t get in to make my last choices…
I was able to get in yesterday by disabling AVG. Now that doesn’t work either.
A little research shows that windows 11 security updates are kept in “C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download”.
What I would do is, look for the KB5055523 file and temporaily move it somewhere else, way outside of the C:\Windows folder (don’t just rename it). Then, uninstall the updates again and reboot. Good luck, these kinds of problems are more than annoying and rarely convenient to remedy.
Is there still no official statement regarding this Problem?
My Windows installed the Updates again (forgot to pause it) and no i can not remove the KB5055523 anymore. Windows says “for security resons”.
So i am not able to play the game anymore.
This is now nearly two weeks old and still no EasyAnticheat Update?
Have you tried contacting both Targem AND the Easyanticheat people?
Have you tried wiping Easyanticheat off your computer and letting it reinstall?
It is working again.
What didn’t work:
i deleted crossout and every File i could find, that is related to crossout or targem before reinstalling.
I also tried nearly everything i could find on the internet (except vodoo). Delete .sys Files of EasyAntiCheat, repairing it, reinstalling it. Looking vor Driver Updates… nothing worked vor me.
What did work:
… and it’s again recuired to lower your PCs Security for that:
Under “Windows Security >> Device Security >> Core Isolation”, disable “Memory integrety”.
Glad you got it working! When it comes to Microsoft, half the time the solution is not what 99% of the users would even know to try. I could tell you stories…
