F around and find out

Ok I will yield to you, you do know what you are talking about and have a good record.

I am just fearful as the Tow finally became useful and fills a niche, so I fear it getting nerfed again as last time they nerfed it they nerfed it so hard it became useless… like they do when ever they nerf things.

That’s because our devs can’t up things. They WILL create something that’s OP. Avalanche, assembler, augers, spiders, GL impulse, cyclone, typhoon, phoenix, porcs, ripper etc.
Everything in this list that they buffed became meta. They end up overbuffing things.

It’s statistically better to NERF things, not BUFF them. For starters - we have ~165 guns in the game including seemingly non-weapons such as flock, barrier and so on.
About 15-20 of them are OP weapons, about 30 more are playable and the rest are just lacking.
It’s easier to touch up ~50 weapons than ~100 weapons.

Next, as i’ve said, our devs can’t buff weapons properly. They’ll end up with an abomination that’s so op and toxic. Or hell, they sometimes create one from scratch (raijin, imugi etc.)

And the third point (in my opinion, it’s the most valid one). Let’s say that you have a C tier weapon as your primary pick. It’s not THAT bad, but it’s not meta. You might score some good results with it, but you struggle against meta. As i’ve said, there’s about 20 actually meta weapons in all PvP gamemodes (excluding arcade) across all the PS ranges.

The devs buff something. It’s not your weapon. Now you have another toxic thing that you don’t have any chances to beat, because 20 isn’t enough. So you’ll have to wait, possibly quite for some time, until your weapon will get buffed too. And how long that will take? How many “natural predators” you’ll have until then? 40? Maybe 60?

If meta geta NERFED, however, there will be one less toxic thing that you have to go against. And over time, it will be “easier to breathe” for your fav build, without it getting absurdly strong that it will get if it gets buffed directly.

By the way.
You’ve said something about execs being OP. Just to clarify… well.

These two people (1st and 3rd) are my clanmates and they play in full hover pack.

So these numbers are… a bit inflated.

20 out of 30 exec players literally had only 1 battle with them.

idk who decided that they need up. After all nerfs they worse than they were before up, and they still very good in 8v8v and confrotation(but not UW)

NERF!?! in our economy? how could our whales buy $1000 weapons if they cant be ensured that the weapons remain free win OP forever?
admin! increase the damage of raijin back to 10,000 immediately, the sales have gone down

no, you bribed a targem employee to nerf the tow to prove your point. it is physically impossible that i am factually wrong, there are no balance problems in my game!

lol, that’s pretty funny!

I hadn’t realized you were talking specifically about CW, and while I am surprised that people were able to make it work so well there, it makes sense with the way they changed the perk to give more of a damage buff with higher end modules.

I stand by my opinion that they weren’t a serious threat at 9kPS, and it looks like the devs mostly agree with me on that.

Hopefully the nerf will balance them better in high PS and CW, while not changing much in lower PS.

I’ve been dabbling in high PS PVP lately (18kPS to 20kPS), and haven’t encountered any yet, but high PS PVP on console in my region is pretty dead compared to low/mid PS.

You got me interested in making big meat grinder builds, so I got a couple extra and started making some big machines. I still don’t enjoy playing horseshoe builds with guns hidden inside, but I can see now why they’re relevant in CW.
And of course now augers are also getting nerfed, and I’ll probably have to rebuild them all.
But that’s how Crossout goes: anything that works too good will get the nerf hammer eventually.
I’m a bit sad that I’m going to have to rebuild my Whirl builds too, but I hope they’ll still be viable, just not as OP.

WE wish. this all said their tow nerfs are pretty mild and actually might not change its high end skill use just make it require skill to hit the explosive bits instead of blowing them by hitting nearby.

As i’ve said earlier, argus doesn’t helps enough

Looking at those big CW rigs, I can see why TOW is such a threat to them. Hard to miss a target that is as big as a building, and that moves slower than a tractor.
I hope that after the nerf they are still useable in CW. As much as I have enjoyed experimenting with high durability auger builds, I wouldn’t want high PS to become just durability contests. That sounds boring.

Also, it’s good if at least a few epic weapons are competitive in CW, to help allow newer players to have a chance. I don’t think anyone in my clan is even considering CW, so anything that lowers the price/grind barrier is a good thing, at least in my opinion.

In lower PS, more builds are too fast and small to be effective targets for TOW players.
