ok so the fundamental flaw with this mode isnt just the helis but the battle walker legs as well.
every time im going after someone they just jump away like im playing f-ing leap frog. this is what the mode shouldve been called, leap frog.
sure the legs need a way to defend themselves, but wheels are at the biggest disadvantage here because of this. this is all that i experienced in this mode is just jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, rise and repeat till the end of the match.
the helis are the biggest annoyance in this mode and are stupidly hard to hit. it doesnt matter if you have those cannons mounted sideways.
another flaw is the battlewalker builds being so damn tanky. if i can ram into one i can either flamethrower him to death or put him on ice while they are laying on my build unable to move. but its hard to do when the idiots just have the x button being mashed more then potatoes.
honestly i didnt like this mode and i really hope this doesnt come back with helis and legs.
the only reason i did it was for the two crates then i stopped.
did anyone get anything good in the crates?
whats more pathetic is i was being targeted by two helis at once and i couldnt hit them to save my life.
these builds are so f-ing terrible. i was using the legs to cause i was sick of being targeted by helis and i still couldnt defend myself from them.
Yes. I got 30 uranium from the humanitarian aid crate; sold it for over 2,400 coins. I’m debating whether to save the proceeds for future stuff I might want or buy another BP slot. Decisions, decisions…
i wouldnt have sold the uranium. i wouldve used it for an odin at the very least. i think its the only thing worth the uranium. but thats just me.
If I’m remembering right, for any relic you need at least 200 uranium. That’s nowhere within my reach…
for the lowest relic you need 200 which is the odin. i think the odin would be the only one worth getting. the others like the scorpion, etc cost 600 to get. i think the helicon is 200 iirc?? im not in game but i think 2 relics are 200 uranium to make. someone can correct me if im wrong. my brain doesnt want to brain right now lol.
Devo is really cheap ura wise, but needs two narwhals and two finwhales.
So Odin.
Swiss eagle sticker, carbon mint paint. The siren evades my grasp yet again. Although the “Winter camo” paint is pretty neat.
ah dang. i got 2 of the same stupid sticker. ugh. i want that inflatable apollo
In another topic about the crates given in that ice and fire thing, how amazing the rewards are .
Next step mode the rewards are double of the normal mode.
It seems the devs want to give a new direction into the game.
However in the ice and fire thing you can have a pair of legs for yourself ( pre set blueprints) and fight it through until you get what you want.
The only thing that always bugs me with these is we can’t set our own weapon buttons up. It would be a nice add-in for these events if they would populate a garage list and let a player set them up. They don’t have to let anyone edit any other bits on them.
the leg builds in that mode suck. but the most irritating thing about them is the CONSTANT jumping around by enemies. its so damn irritating to fight them.
I kind of had fun with those but I also like doing jump shots at them while they’re jumping.
The short range leg builds I thought were more of a pain to play.
Doing barrel rolls and hood-slides over buildings like Mecha-Tom Wopat was fun.
It basically looked like being inside of their latest promotional video. This is the new Crossout…almost. We still need boats?
Clean Island could be reworked to support Steampunk riverboats…that’s really the only kind, I suppose.
Water wheels is what we need to make that work, IMO.
I nominate Steamboat Willie to be the leader of a militant cajun faction of mudbug-sucking scallywags patrolling the toxic rivers of Crossout in rusty riverboats, blowing up bridges, policing trade routs, attacking ports, and invading settlements.
I got the inflatable apollo. It can only be mounted upright so there’s nowhere to put it.
