Invisible walls over every barn and container?? Such a miserable and lazy solution.
I know they made this because they didn’t think it’s suits the game that someone can hide somewhere and launch pyre, tows, snipe with autocannons while being fully immune to all the nasty animals like shotguns, melee, lances, suicide damage etc.
Probably the best use of booster flight was getting somewhere others can’t, but why have invisible walls everywhere?? Now none can fly at all =( Even without intention of landing somewhere inaccessible.
They gave us helicopters like they are interested to try take game flying… eh I wish they left it as a brawl.
So what you think? Had any experience flying? I remember times when maps were full of cosy places. Do any flying builds still work? Any hope to see this aspect of game expand? Maybe something was mentioned somewhere…
The invisible walls would not be there if someone didn’t complain about getting stuck in those spots.
I loved making flying things to explore Adventure mode, and wish they’d remove invisible walls there to allow access to this feature’s beautiful landscape and views from on high. It seems like a very low energy way for the developers to make Adventure mode more interesting. Simply improve the landscape, add sunsets and weather, and tear down those walls.
Yeah I remember going into all the maps with Heli blades and fuckign every little thing has an invisible wall up to skybox it’s annoying af
would be nice if the devs made Adventure Mode the flying area. Let us have our little gyrocopters and big old blackhawks to get a nice birds eye view of the wasteland and all its little factions battling it out below.

I’d like to see big-ass steam-punk Zeppelins rolling through there too. I thought they could serve as advertisements for upcoming events, or even be leviathan style events in themselves, like a giant flying party piñata that drops scrap and resources when kids pop’em. I think they could construct seasonal events like this in adventure mode that would be fun. The ambiance would be great even if they weren’t interactive bots you could pop.
A train would be fun too.
They really are neglecting a lot of potential this game has by pursuing a feature very few like and most people obviously don’t.
I really thought flying was going to be a bigger part of the near future of this game when they introduced the camera controls. Adventure mode would have been the perfect map for this feature, and a good excuse to expand that map.
This was one of the reasons I have been having so much fun playing with the Robocraft 2 alpha release. The flight options are really cool. Granted, it’s not really a game at this point. It’s promising, though.
I have never been able to wrap my head around why the devs of XO didn’t further implement the helicopter mode they created. I don’t think any players wanted it in regular battles, but at least they could have let us have them in test drive, adventure, and maybe a rotating brawl.
I remember when i could launch fortunes from end to end on the biggest of maps. I miss those times. Good times. Good times.
