Fun with the Exodus - New Weapon

Hey Survivors,

So, I tried a build with 3 Exodus and it was interesting. It is not a new meta and I also tried 2 Exodus with 2 Tormentors.

I had more fun with the 3 Exodus using the Beholder cabin and the discharger reload module. During combat I found that the dps was around 780. This is coming out of cloak. I once hit a 1400 shot but could not replicate it.

I used hit and run tactics and used the cloak a lot. I never got MVP in this vehicle. Mobility was key in double teaming an enemy and letting my partner get the kill.

It’s kind of a Meh support weapon and is average in rate of fire, range and damage. Its lack of durability often got me degunned with 1 gun left out of 3 in duals.

I would not recommend getting three weapons. You can almost do the same damage or more with 2 guns and 2 tormentors. You just have to pick your attacks more carefully and it takes more finesse.

Please let me know of your own field use with the Exodus. I’m curious about your experience and matches.

Cheers

Why would Tormentor buff Exodus? It’s somehow a melee weapon?

Any use I can have of them comes from the test prototypes brawl, and sadly these and the new cannon feel more like epic weapons than legendary, especially when the new shotgun and the two shotgun builds in the brawl just completely outclassing them. No idea if they’d feel like epic weapons rather than legendary in normal gameplay, but at least in the brawl it’s not doing them any favors. If I was getting the pass (feelings of support for the game at an all time low) I would definitely get three of these, just because of how fun they are to play

They are extremely fun to use, more fun than I earlier thought, but sadly in this game fun weapons are never good weapon. Any weapon that is in any way shape or form fun or exciting, just does poorly and the most boring to use or play slop is always op for the brainless cookie-cut meta-npc fodder you see daily in every match. The normal fire is kinda satisfying pew-pew-pew, and the charged shot being a big shot is super fun. Definitely the most fun2use weapon out of the new three (fun not equaling effectiveness in this case, but fun=effectiveness is a pretty sheeple opinion to begin with)

If I remember right, they do meelee hit damage instead of bullet damage. Why? Because stripped from all the specifics and their physical model, these are just Butcher but rather than grinding meelee damage they just do on-hit meelee damage. With a stealth perk slapped on top for extra creativity

Thanks Kohtupora2,

For responding to Poony4u message. I was a little slow on draw.

I appreciate your feedback and experience in using the weapons. I just wish they were tweaked in both DPS and durability.

Cheers

Interesting, I guess that means you can also buff Butcher that way.
I don’t suppose you can find any documentation of that? I was looking for some confirmation of melee damage and couldn’t locate it.

The whole reason I’m on this forum is that the game is really bad at the explaining how it works.

Hey Poony4u,

I got my information from Jbrider on this link. At 21.19 he explains the melee mechanic for the Exodus.

Hope this helps

I take back what I said about this gun being just the Butcher. It’s a far more superior Butcher. Not only does it have way superior physical model and aiming angles, the speed of the projectile and accuracy of it is far more superior to the butcher.

This also has a superior perk, far more simpler and efficient (Get a damage buff from being invisible), rather than whatever the Butcher tries to have (Uhhm uhh like the longer this thing grinds at an enemy it uhm uhh makes the already weak explosion at the end even shittier but uhh makes the grinding damage of the next shot like be a bit stronger and uhhh something uhhmm), (and fails because it feels like it’s not even working properly most of the time)

And we have not even mentioned that the Exodus perk is actually 2 perks in one, because on top of that you get the Stillwind/Beholder perk of shooting your guns not instantly taking you out of cloak because why not let’s just make it even better than the Butcher, fuck the Butcher.

And on top of that, while both guns are “shootable meelee damage”, the Exodus deals way more damage in general due to the rate at which it inflicts damage and how (on hit rather than needing time to deal periodic damage like the Butcher, the time it has taken a Butcher to be shot into an enemy two times and dealtht e damage it can do you could just have landed 3-5 volleys or charged shots of Exodus depending on how reload and charge invested you are)

And if that was not enough to completely shit all over whatever Butchers were supposed to be, the added effect of the shots on the Exodus (impulse on hit on the charged shot) is far more superior to Butchers (explosion, a damage type tanked and resisted by everything to the point that it feels like it’s bugged and not working properly as a whole)

And with an extra cherry on top to further shit on the Butcher, this thing has two different firing modes, normal rapid fire volley and a charged shot, that not only shoots all the shots at once but also yet on top of all of that spreads them out in a straight horizontal line.

This gun feels like an absolute insult to the Butchers, they were supposed to be this cool new thing where you have a gun that deals meelee damage, but it ended up being disappointing in general, and this thing did not even get a buff at any point for them to just instantly roll out a far superior, more thought out and polished version of a gun that shoots meelee damage, that actually works.

Who’s wife did a Butcher fuck to deserve all this dabbing and disrespect? It never even had a chance and it’s already dead
