there is a MASSIVE problem with raids ever since they added mechs to it especially dino that allows jumping to areas on map that were NEVER intended for raid use by players. LIKE the top of buildings in the factory map raid.
Also in raids where have to defend location due to mech normal height advantage and then building them into GUN TOWERS, allows them to shoot over barriers that could NOT be shot over before. allowing placement that was NEVER intended for raids etc because no where near the base needing to be defended. LIKE the crater sand map. like being on edge of map as far from defense position as one can get ,
Or dino jumping in certain maps to SPAWN CAMP bots as a way to STEAL KILLS AND IN TURN REDUCES TEAMMATES RESOURCE PAY OUT BY 50% because team trying to defend the base from missed stranglers or bots spawning elsewhere.
when things are done fairly as team and NOT having player or two exploiting raid mechanics flaws the resources is nearly DOUBLE than on raids where cheaters are gaming exploits of flaws in matches where they are forcing team to risk the raid by letting them steal all the kills by causing the bots to agro to their location and NOT funnel towards the defense area where whole team can then kill in cross fire as a team.
lost multiple raids from this conduct because team could NOT cover base and each other causing raid failure due to unsportsmanlike conduct of exploiting raid mechanic flaws because these raids were NEVER designed for mech and their dimension defying builds and movement.
example raid where normally get 57 copper but with cheaters exploiting mechanic flaws with mechs in raids the copper reward is 27 instead for those who did NOT game the rig NOR SPAWN CAMPED IN RAID WHERE BOTS MOST LIKELY TO SPAWN AWAY FROM DEFENSE AREA where team forced to abandon base if want any of the reward they should be gettting because big chunk of it is based on damage kills/assists and so on.
this is causing progression to be cut in half for many of the players who are NOT cheating exploiting these mechanic flaws and or limitations and something needs to be done about it because its causing paying customers to quit in fusteration because they getting scammed out of prgress by the cheates exploiting certain unintended consequences to changes made to raids AKA including mechs to raids where raids NOT designed with mechs also in mind. or not realizing the tower built mech would wreck core mechanic in raids and how resources and such are distributed among team member .
I started this because one of such cheaters and or players supporting the cheating reported me for F bombing the cheating player who was stealing resources from rest of team even if they themselves don;t get much more than what rest of us would normally get. I have repeatedly asked for help to get this game breaking cheating under control because its slowing progress by up to half where it would take twice as long grinding resources when having to constantly run with these mech exploits and spawn camping exploits, done by players who cheat for few extra resources while robbing the rest of team who are playing the raid as intended by the devs.
to make a point to said cheater went to him to KNOCK him down to make a point to STOP CHEATING because harming the rest of team ability to get their share of resources because they need assist kills at least to get their normal resource amount at end of raid where no flaws were exploited.
this thread is mainly directed at the GM’s of game breaking exploits being used by cheaters to steal resources from teammates in form of reducing teammates resources due to NOT being able to at least get assist kills that won’t funnel down to the defense point in raid. where the benefit to self might be some of it but this behavior needs to be banned from game or make it so that mech topple over when shoot cyclones from the highest point possible in building of ride. AKA recoil should be causing them to fall over every time they shoot from that high. due to really high center of gravity. and a force being applied to really long lever.
This need to be elevated to devs as HIGHEST PRIORITY TO FIX. because its exploiting mechanic flaws in ways was NOT intended to be exploited when devs introduced mechs to raids.
Sounds like fun. Much more fun than waiting and shooting fish in a barrel. I never do this; I attack the bots where they spawn. I never let the bots get near their objective. You want to sit and wait and shoot fish in a barrel, then you are incorrect. We play games for fun, not resources. We have fun ramming and killing raiders, not waiting until they drive into a crossfire. Go attack them! Stop waiting for stragglers and get in the fight!
Did the developers whisper into your ear their intentions? Do you hear voices? You speak of their intentions. When did you have this heart-to-heart talk with the developers? How do you know their intentions? You think they care about raids and rewards? Spend some money and skip the raids. Lower your power score to minimum.
not everyone is going to have this playstyle of “get in there and fight”. people have their own ways of playing, such as myself. i tend to like keeping my distance and picking off enemies one at a time, i also prefer targeting the weapons to take less damage over time. getting in the middle of it causes you to take alot of damage and repair kits arent cheap. the op here wants to work AS A TEAM and not have some guy running off and hogging all the kills for himself just to hog all the rewards. this style of play is toxic and encourages people to not play as a team.
raids had their rewards reduced again to. im getting less then i normally would in raids that i like to do even when im the one scoring the highest on the team.
this isnt cheating, its exploiting the environment to your advantage by taking advantage of a situation. bots tend to target things that fly / jump to an elevation higher then what they are at. this is how they are able to take advantage of that, because bots are normally wired to target enemies that are either the closest to them or that are at a higher elevation. its not cheating, its a game flaw.
acting out like this isnt going to solve / help anything.
in this case its best to form your own raid team, look for others who will team up with you in raids, whether it be clan mates or random people looking to team up, its better then cussing someone out and getting yourself banned.
the problem with mech legs is they have to much power on them. they can easily push my builds around like they are made of feathers and they have multiple advantages, and disadvantages for team mates, that make them frustrating to deal with.
he was frustrated and handled it poorly, this isnt cheating.
My feeling about all of this is that if you are playing solo, you have to accept that your teammates are going to be randoms.
Sometimes your playstyles and builds will complement each other, but often they won’t. You have the choice to adapt to your teammates, or to not change anything about how you want to play. But you can’t expect your teammates to adjust to your tastes.
As far as rewards go, I don’t see a huge difference in my payouts, whether I’m the top scorer or the lowest. We all get lower scores when the whole team speedruns a raid, but that also means we can play more raids in a shorter amount of time, so it evens out.
For me, I’m really only playing raids for the badges, and for relaxation. The faster we do the raid, the better. So often I’m playing a fast DPS car and rushing through it, but lately I’ve been doing the opposite and playing heavy drone builds, which is relaxing but rarely results in good scores for myself.
I know that some teammates probably hate when I’m doing the latter (because they need to work harder), while others hate the former approach (because I end up hogging all the points). You can never make everyone happy.
