I wanted to play Crossout with my friends and then found out that even through the Xbox game bar and Xbox app I cannot join them. then when I went to see if it was possible I saw that they added Cross-play for PS and Xbox but not for PC which is just annoying because with the developers other games they have Cross-play between Xbox and PC no problem. I have also seen that multiple times on this forum people have brought this up so it would clearly be a well received addition. If the only reason this hasn’t been added is that it would be unfair for Console players then just don’t force console players onto PC servers and give them the option to play with PC players.
That’s a good question. Many of the pirated and cracked games I have for PC are lifted from console versions, and they run just fine on PC. In fact, in some cases they run better on PC than the PC version.

I do hope full crossplay happens soon, as I think that could really help the game avoid a rapid decline if the playerbase gets too small.
There are likely some technical challenges, but the bigger issue might be how different the markets are.
Which makes me wonder if the XBOX and PS4/5 markets were merged, or if the two consoles have separate markets still.
While PC players have the aiming advantage, it seems to me that most console players are OK with the idea of having to compete against PC players. And I would argue that driving is easier with a controller, which helps even out the differences.
