Great Update! Thank you Dev team!

As long as they leave all the clan/band stuff I’m cool with any changes they do and for players like me this is a great new feature.

So I will continue to try and help people and promote this awesome new system for the players that plan to take advantage of it.

Also, we had more backlash every time hovers got a nerf. Almost no one at all is talking about it here in the forum and no flood of new accounts posting.

When hovers hit nerfed we had pages and pages of posts and tons of new accounts, not now.

Bc devs covered it with other stupid change as badges and they drove attention from it, like great politicians

Btw where you get that info from about hovers?

I was also trying to figure out if there was a way of not disturbing badges as much by sorting things into better categories of use for rewards: I.e. PVP yeilds pvp reward, PVE yeilds PVE rewards. Clan and Confrontation could yeild more competitive pvp rewards. The same could be done with some of the armor rewards.

A simple fix could be if players aren’t in a clan, they get a version of the challenges that are adjusted for solo players. Busy clans should still be able to earn more, but a dedicated solo player should be able to earn just as much as they did before.
Having said that, solo players can currently make a solo band to access all the challenges. And we’ll need a couple weeks to see how efficiently a solo player can grind badges under the new system.

And in case other solo players didn’t know, clans/bands that are set to open can be joined by anyone. I just woke up one day to a new member, which was a nice surprise. I’m sure mine isn’t the only one open to anyone who just wants help boosting their badge earnings.

I guess they just updated “Confrontation mode” to help address some of our issues?

Five hours?

That’s new isn’t it? I did not get the memo. It used to be something like two hours, right? IDK

I guess I should check Reddit, because there was no announcement that I saw, so who knows what’s in it?.

EDIT: Nobody over there knows WTF either. Most haven’t noticed yet, I guess.

@107865420 It looked like that last night when I tried it and didn’t like it.

I only noticed a moment ago. When I logged on it said I had less than a minute to get in the queue. I was dissapointed and didn’t bother. I went through my inventory and was going to just log off, and that’s when I checked the timer.

I’ve still heard nothing about the what or why. I suppose I should go page through all those clan menus to see if I can discern WTF, or what else has changed. Are there clues?

I feel unmotivated to dig through it, but I do like this game. Or I used to. Are they preparing their death-bed for real this time? Why was there no announcement? What did I miss?

This seems like a major development in an already controversial update, and in the wrong direction probably, so it’s odd to not have some kind of announcement. Not even the Community Manager over on reddit has dropped any hints.

This is why I think we need an interactive lobby.

Do you mean as in for political or ethical activism, or something pertaining to the mechanics of this game?

I would have preferred that Adventure mode had been more like a lobby for this game, like how the world-scape in Elderscrolls is a lobby you run around in and have minor interactions with people and NPCs, but really it’s just a big collection of entry points to more specifically, or unusually themed dungeons and adventures…

I bet they’re shutting it down for a few hours to try to fix whatever is going on with some of us unable to contribute.

They usually do their updates offline and then upload them, and that only appears to cause a very brief disruption in servers, typically. This doesn’t have to be typical though, does it?

If it was going to be this big of a disruption, I really would have thought there would have been an announcement.

It seems weird though, right?

What is this?

It doesn’t feel “great” to me.

While I’m retaining some cautious optimism about the changes overall, I don’t love how messy it’s been. Something seems to have gone very wrong, more than the usual hiccups.

Some guy on reddit had this to say about it:

"the windows havent changed at all afaik

the mode just isnt available until 1 hour after cw sessions end (causing 5 hour instances of no confrontation) and its been like that since release"

I don’t really get it, and the fact that I now have to go back a re-read some announcement or description on some menu somewhere to find this info, that I think I was assumed to have been aware of, feels tedious and unrewarding already.

I’m tired of it.

I think they might have lost some of the translation staff. It’s not something I’m going to be critical about.

Every time I try to get into that mode it’s closed. I’m done chasing it.

I’d delete it from my game if I could.

It is in the original patch notes. The mode skips CW times.

I have legit never seen anyone complain about hovers getting nerfed, except that NZchadman dude who ragequit the forum after his precious hovers were nerfed by +15 kmh lmao.

There has been backlash on hovers’ release tho, more than any other time. The game’s population on Steam never recovered.

The game never had periods with a negative review ratio on Steam until the latest update as far as I can tell.

Lots of people who posted for the first time here. “Lots” being relative since everybody knows this forum is ded as fuck and not even looked at by devs.

You need to stop BSing people because the latest changes advantage you.

The last time I saw a real dumpster fire riot over an update was at the beginning of Super Charged 2.0. When the camera-controls rolled out, they changed the hover’s physical model, and despite hovers getting the hell buffed out of them by that feature and a massive speed buff, kids lit it up like hovers had been destroyed and were no longer usable.

People were almost as vocal about it as they are now with this clan thing, but there weren’t any organized Steam protests as far as I know.

However, you’re sort of right; They bitched like it was a nerf, but it was in all actuality a massive buff that took several months to wear off. So, in way they were actually bitching about a buff, but in a bass-ackward way.

Hovers: I wouldn’t miss’em, but I think a lot of people would…maybe I sort of like their quarterback/ shot-caller style roll on the team in PVP.

I don’t want to play them, but maybe I actually would miss them if they were gone. They make good team captains in PVP.

They really suck as adversaries when they are OP, though.

I smell some

coming from certain people on this tread

But the amount of effort they want for basically spare change in badges is like working 8 hours but your work only pays you for 3 hours…
