homing rockets have so many counters though i feel its unfair to them. when they do hit its a big pay off. when they dont youll be taking another shot of tequila.
in pve they arent to bad but in pvp they can be a bit irritating to use.
honestly i love homing rockets but they are hard to use. far to many counters and just not enough of a pay off to use them in pvp for me. if you run them on a dusk cabin the spread makes them faceplant half the time anyways lol.

You don’t have to be near the enemy, you don’t have to aim, you can just run around in circles and spam from the safe place. Everything lowskill should yield low rewards.
Every single time AI garbage wasn’t trash, it was OP. Sidekicks were really annoying in 2017, same as hurricane. Then we got nests which literally penetrated your craft and exploded at the chassis level, so people had to build actual “cope cages” to not get oneshot instantly. Same with pyre+dusk, these guys literally just popped out of invis and could rip half of your craft in a single shot.
So, no. AI garbage should be nerfed to hell, because every single time it wasn’t, it was annoying to deal with and had you sweat to counter a low-skill weapon (!!!).
PLEASE don’t tell me that you ruin matches with using homing rockets in PvE… it might be fine to try out for fun in easy raids but anything above that is just dragging the entire team down
i dont own any homing rockets. i used to have hurricanes but sold them cause they took far to long to reload. i dont own any pyres because… well… i mean they are cheap but i just dont want to use them. heck i dont even own the laser guided ones as i sold those long ago. only rocket ones i have are the non tracking ones. i do have a TOW but i dont use it much.
i see ALOT of people running pyres / hurricanes on helis though and really hogging all the kills from others. heck they even use trombones as well. because they hit them from above they do ALOT more damage… often times 1 or two shotting enemies, its a pain…
i dont think its the fault of the weapon though but the item designed to make them more powerful. think about it.
what made grenadiers so powerful? their absurd stats but also the cheetah, the cheetah gave 25% recharge on drones which made them insanely busted. they also had a cabin that boosted its damage resistances to.
pyres had the dusk cabin which gave them a boost at the cost of flight time and turn speed same with hurricanes.
what made caucasus powerful? helis.
really man i dont think the weapons are to blame… i think its the cabins / hardware that the devs make that break the damage and whatnot in these weapons that really did it.
imo pyres do alot of damage as is, hurricanes do really good damage as well. its the boosts they get and the modules they get that make them busted. can you imagine a dusk, jackie on a dual hurricane running cloak? yikes…
Hurricanes are my current 24/7 for the last week Small maps and buildings, especially that tiny little city map, afford lots of cover to avoid Canes. But th@s ok, becauSe i like sound of the canes launch, thats why i use it in the first instance. Good luck out in the open.
