I want to try this new module, but I refuse to buy packs, and the market price is really high for an epic module.
What do people think of it? Is it more for mechs, or do cars benefit from it too? Does it even make much of a difference?

mechs wouldnt benefit from it unless they are going the required speed and even then it requires going 80km/h to get the accuracy boost from it. id say its mostly just for speedy cars though as mechanical legs dont really seem to benefit from it much. maybe they can but legs are incredibly wobbly and far more inaccurate then wheels / augers / tracks.
on top of this mechs slow down when going side to side i think. i havent used them much. but they are more for accuracy and mechs arent that accurate imo.
You get the accuracy perks at any speed, it’s only the range perk that is speed dependant.
you get the accuracy perks at any speed yeah but the issue here is on mechs adding accuracy onto them is not good. the build moves up and down when you walk forward throwing off your accuracy and aim, so its like adding nothing onto nothing. i could be wrong but i tried using mechs and to me they just arent that usable with how they function and the accuracy boost doesnt help much.
Not disagreeing with you regarding the walk bounce on the reticle, but you did say you needed to be going over 80kph to get the accuracy boost…
Just been seeing a lot of people on the Reddit/Discord claiming that the accuracy perks on the gyroscope and harmonizer are speed dependant.
Has anyone actually tried it?
I’ve seen the harmonizer tested, not the gyros, but until it’s shown that it doesn’t I’ll go by what it says on the card.
to me this would be kind of hard to test really. if its speed dependent then we would need an area long enough to test it and i dont have one.
the second reason why this is difficult is when the vehicle is in movement the reticle varies in size depending on if the guns turning, driving speed, movement (like turning) and also the opponent your engaging to. the last one here isnt to important but fatman has a HUGE reticle spread when turning… maybe this might help?
i just looked and you can have TWO of these on a build…
so -80% spread after firing and +60% aim restoration speed.
this is without a doubt going to be getting a nerf cause thats just insane. imagine slapping 2 of these on 2 fatman cannons. thats just ridiculous…
the harmonizer looks like its only for guns that are rapid fire like mgs, AA, auto cannons, miniguns, etc. it doesnt seem like its built for guns like cannons.
the gyroscope is built for reloading weapons and weapons that have ridiculous amounts of spread after firing like cannons, possibly shotguns and maybe rockets. crickets would probably benefit from this module.
does this work? i have no idea because im not dumping 2.5k for a gyroscope each and 2k for a harmonizer. 5k for 2 gyroscope and 2k for a harmonizer. i could make a harmonizer but nah. i have one from the pass and i used it on a reaper build… reaper x2, catalina, odin, pegasus, jackie, doppler. i used this for the taming the dragon event and i didnt really notice a difference. maybe there was a difference but idk. it did seem my shots were more precise but idk if that was due to the harmonizer or not.
i was testing the harmonizer i have just now and i dont see any physical difference in minimum and max spread. when testing in the garage i shot at exactly the point where you hit practice and i didnt move my reticle and kept track of where the max spread was. well i tried it without the harmonizer and it was still spreading at the same distance. so maybe it doesnt effect the reticle itself but the spread of the gun?
i cant test this theory myself but when testing this in the garage by just firing nonstop i noticed my reapers were firing all over the place. the bullets would go everywhere and not in a focused point. it would spread out alot more across the entire reticle instead of having a more focused fire.
tried it without the harmonizer and the same thing happened… imo this thing doesnt do anything. spread is still terrible regardless if you have it or not. at a distance its far worse.
From what I understood (I did not buy them cause I don’t think they are worth it at that price but tested them a bit at expo), gyros main strength are with burst weapons like the new cannon. Having the second and third shot stay precise is good.
Compared to that, the harmonizer seem useful in more situations : Less base spread and projectile speed are great for single tap weapons and less max spread is good of mgs and minis.
Gyros are useless with minis that will reach their max spread anyway. They may be good with MG if you do short bursts.
Theorically they may be good with burst shotguns but I did not test it enough to see if its worth it or if it even works.
Fatman have a slow enough fire rate that they return to their normal accuracy between shots no ? In particular after the nerf to their perf.
I can see a few guns that would benefit greatly from that.
I’m also curious how well it works with shotguns.
I was more thinking that gyros would be good for MGs and autocannons. Can fire them in longer bursts before getting too much bloom, and recover quicker between each burst, especially on fast builds that benefit from the increased range. Guess this would also synergise with Seals, Fin Whale, Hermits, etc that work better at speed.
Whereas harmonizers work better on slow builds that stop to take accurate shots, like cannons where single shot precision is more important. Which once again benefits from the slow speed perk increasing projectile velocity to help reduce bullet drop. Would synergise well with tsunami.
Yup, I forgot autocannons but that may be where the gyro really shine. In particular with perfect accuracy autocannons like the AC78 and the AC80 that suffer a lot from increased spread. For fast AC they may be less good (I think the Joule or cyclone would gain way more from harmoniser for instance. For starfall I don’t know which one I would prefer… probably will have to test)
Looks like the price is starting to fall on the market, so I may be able to justify buying one soon.
Curious what happens if you use one of each stabilizer modules, which would give you a boost at both high and low speed.
I have not tried it in practice, but does the Gyroscope seem kinda…weak and/or useless? +10% range when moving very fast if I read it right, that does not really seem too much, especially when compared to the Harmonizer, that feels like it gives way more of a buff, and also way more easy (just stay still)
Am I missing something?
I’m going to guess that both are more about their default spread reductions, and the speed based ones are just a little icing on top.
Seems like they might complement each other if you use one of each?
The price dropped enough that I could justify buying one, and so far I’ve tried it paired with the harmonizer on a vindicator build. Hard to say which module is doing more, but the combo definitely makes MGs feel a lot more precise.
I’ll experiment a bit more with the two over the next week and report back.
