Name: ???
This would be a syndicate weapon, a plasma based flamethrower based around dealing high direct damage with a moderate DoT to anything it hits. being a one gun that requires cooling and ammo it is quite restrictive but well I am hoping to paint a good picture here… lets start with a paint post of the “model idea” its self.
The concept is this. the weapon is a large weapon being 7 pins wide with a 4 pin wide gap in the bottom. the turret its self would have a 120 degree forward firing area. the area in the back has pin slots for ammo boxes.
the right side of the turret would have a weakened status of sorts meaning it takes double damage when hit so armor it well.
Weapon info: the plasma flamer would be a short to medium range flamethrower that works well on armored tanks. it has two unique details about it.
The first being items it lights on fire glow green instead of red with the green showing their heat amount and the DoT they take, with it being 4 per second at 5% heated and increasing by 4 per heated level. allowing it to melt through light builds with ease.
the second being its ammo requirement unlike other weapons which you can put ammo anywhere on the build, the plasma flamer requires you to mount the ammo boxes directly to the weapon via 8 ports it has on the rear allowing for a smart player to put upto 8 blue ammo boxes, or 4 purple if they really want.
Now this sounds like a lot of down sides, its large, costs 24 energy, takes up a seven wide area is 4 tall (6 counting the turret.) and 5 long. it is hard to build with and only has a 120 degree forward firing angle.
But that is where its DPS comes in, it lays down a constant and unending flow of fire, unable to overheat do to the cooling module built into it. it also has its unique DOT perk allowing it to effectively destroy anything that tries to take it on head to head. all at the cost of being unable to hit things at long range.
oh and to make things more epic it can be rotated and mounted upsidown for use on a copter. making it a really good close range weapon for them
Its down side is its size and power cost with its upside being you are doing about 3.5k DPS not counting DoT.
Idea likely needs refinement as this is a half hearted post.
