Hovers didn’t need Buffs and Perks.
Hovers have literally always been meta, op, and the easiest movement part to use. Takes very Little skill using Hovers compared to everything else.
Hovers need a nerf. Only people who’ll disagree Are Hover users.
Sorry but you guys had it easy since hovers were added.
Athena ( also didn’t need buffs ffs )
and Destructor hovers take Zero Skill. As an example.
That’s also why the current UW is basically unplayable.
Far more pro’s than any cons using hovers.
Tho i wanna see people defend hovers, even tho they’ll be wrong it’ll be funny.
instead of nerfing them, just return them how they were when the game came out…
for those not familiar…you needed to use Q and E to turn them left and right (no, they were not bound to mouse), and the mouse was used only for weapons…that took some skill to learn…and they felt like playing Blasteroids (old coin op game…google it if you want to know more…)
btw, i don’t use/like hovers, but i don’t find them particularly OP either…just sayin’
When the game came out, there were no hovers. And then it all went downhill when they were released
I ram hovers, I am faster than they are.
Unfortunately there’s rarely anything you can do against a hover. Unless you have a yeti cloak, very fast and get very lucky. Then doppler verifier etc gg.
At long range they peak fast, shoot and zooms back to cover, they’ll hit you much more than you’ll hit them.
Not to mention if they peak you have to be aiming there to hit them. Or they could just peak a different corner etc.
Sometimes ramming a hover… They go over you.
Also… Having 1 hover left and you can move or at least rotate and shoot etc.
But they’ve always been on top as best movement part and they literally make weapons better.
People complained about meat grinders and they got a nerf. But everyone complains about hovers and they just keep getting better. Weird to me really.
They just out class everything.
Oh yeah if you manage to get close they’ll zoom away at any direction. And if you have any close ranged weapons theres very Little you can do. Besides spark \ flash to slow them down, even then good luck.
And I have destroyed hovers easily before but much more than not they have the advantages.
well, when i started playing, back when you would get a white item if you won a round, hovers were already in the game…but what i wanted to say mostly is:
getting kind of tired of players whining “buff this, nerf that”…how about instead those same players suggest how it should be done in their opinion…instead of just crying and expecting others to figure out “how they want things to be done”…and then whining untill things are done that way…
so how about less “buff this and nerf that”, and more actual ideas about how things could be done. just crying doesn’t help anyone…
increase PS of destructor and remove mouse aim entirely
mainly icarus 7 is the issue, but any build using it wont have armor
Destructor seems balanced now, but yes, remove mouse steering entirely.
If you don’t want to learn basic driving in a vehicle shooting game, go play counter strike or other FPS, because vehicle combat in general is not for the mentally weak.
both triggers and destructors are incredibly overpowered.
not only do they heat the parts they hit but they do increased damage to. add to the fact that bots in pve are absolutely broken with these things and can decimate your build in little time its no wonder people want them nerfed.
hovers over the years have been nerfed into the ground, the problem with them now is their speed which doesnt allow most builds to catch them. run a few on a light cabin and your practically untouchable unless someone also has a light cabin going at high speeds. also idk if engines effect the hovers max speed either but if it does thats just adding insult to injury.
zero skill and they love insulting you like they are the champion of the lollipop guild lol.
I have used triggers in confrontation myself, with Photon cab and regular wheels, and I can tell you they’re balanced.
Destructor is even harder to use because they need a full tracing period to trigger its perk, while Trigger only need the last micro second of their burst staying on target.
Hovers seems busted solely because of their freaky physics with mouse steer that allows them to drag the entire body sideways with the last thruster at their ass. Fix the physics in a way that it stops abusing the computer assistance, they’ll probably suck so bad that the proposed buff is justified.
i only have 1 trigger myself. i wanted more long ago cause i liked them but seeing them in pve made me stay away from them cause of how op they were. i might get 3 more though and just build them myself. what ps is this at though?
so they do require to stay entirely on target the whole time to get the full damage? interesting to know.
Hovers got a new bullshit perk that makes them faster as they get damaged, or tankier as they get ganged up on. All in for another nerf to them, they were balanced for a year and then targem gives them busted perks.

the damage protection perk doesnt seem that unreasonable, hovers were getting too easy to deframe.
the power boost for icarus 7 seems more OP, they were already uncatchable without a power boost
I rarely play my hovers, as they actually seem pretty weak to me. Maybe I’ll need to fuse them, or maybe I need to practice more.
They only seem to shine in certain PS ranges, with certain weapons.
I actually don’t see many hovers at 9kPS where I play most. They’re in the mix, but not dominant.
I don’t think removing camera steering would do much. It would just mean that the only people playing hovers would be the highly skilled vets, which would make them seem even more OP.

Devs barely listen if we complain as is, if we stop nothing will ever get better.
Only thing that is op about hovers is the faster one, I run the slower hovers a lot and honestly even if invested fully into speed and mobility, even medium cab builds can catch up to me and just stunlock me on top of their builds so they feel pretty balanced all in all.
A hover is only good if it can keep a distance from an enemy, and the differences between the 4 and 7 is more like light cab vs heavy cab, rather than light cab vs medium cab
Like even trying to fight a faster hover while using the slower hovers feels more like a 50km/h heavy cabin build trying to fight a Satori build
yeah icarus 4 is normal but icarus 7 is more problematic
I only have the fast ones, and even they feel sluggish to me, at least compared to how wheels feel these days.
I’ve always preferred playing wheels for aesthetic reasons, but I also think they’re stronger now than ever before, while hovers seem like much less of a threat than when I first started playing.
