You should be able to hit your car simply by raising the front end a bit. Not as much as the old forward tilted mandrake, and tilting backwards.
You could put legs on the front and omniwheels on the back.

hah that could also work!, thanx i will try it
I made a build like that a while ago with a Heather in the back and a Kapkan aimed frontwards between the legs. Dogs didn’t like it.
sure they can! … if their made of cardboard xD
well they are artillery cannons. they need to have a weakness. though sometimes i can aim close to myself… sometimes right on top of myself but that takes alot of fiddling around.
i actually got the fused mandrake with the lighters and… holy crap that reduced spread is GLORIOUS. its far more accurate and i been slamming bots with it left and right. its so satisfying seeing those high numbers especially when they are all grouped up close
I have tried it and it does work tilting backwards, but the mandrake is just so inaccurate lol, shooting all over the place, i will try the heather now.
Mandrake/Heather do shoot almost straight up. But, this is by far the most difficult weapon in Crossout. If Mandrake/Heather were easy, any derp could play it.
A naster Mandrake/Heather player can drive a full speed while being chased by a shotgun, and drive underneath where his shells are going to land, thereby functioning as his own bait.
A master Mandrake/Heather player can be chased off a cliff, then shoot the enemy mid air when he follows.
A master Mandrake/Heather player can shoot two volleys based on two possible routes the enemy could take.
In my time playing the game, I have met maybe 4 guys who can really play these things well.
If you master Mandrake/Heather, congratulations, you have beat Crossout.
Sir you have inspired me, i shall make it my life mission to master this most difficult weapon.
16k? you can fit the weapon on 4k builds.
I enjoy playing the heather below 9K, used to play Mandy before the 45 nerf. I am revisiting the Arty’s and having to get that timing back…I agree with above very satisfying when you drop your full load on top of someone and see multiple K damage numbers.
A nice buff give TOW like ablity with the Arty’s, only don’t force the user to steer the round make it optional…and make the target still have to be in the circle to hit.
I enjoy seeing others fiddle around with them @ any PS. Easy killing , most can’t shoot the weapon accurate enough/Good enough timing to make use of them worth it.
I play dual fused Heathers on a harpy cabin with 4 sabbaths. It’s 12.9k.
Key at beginning of the match: Don’t be stupid and try to bomb them at the start. Move to your first position, let the match develop a little.
Make sure your first shot will hit multiple targets or do not take it. It is key to get that perk with the first shot. (It’s usually your best chance at it).
MOVE. Do not ever shoot twice from the same place. You can forget everything else about Heather play, but never forget this. Good dog players will be on you within seconds of the first volley, let alone a second volley from the same place. You know, HIMARS it up.
They should have a horizontal firing mode. They are so worthless the moment a player serpentines and doesnt sit still. Arty players are nothing but a liability superior to droners; they will never clutch games against highly skilled enemy players like any meta build can.
Its meant to shoot anywhere its pointed. A lot of indirect fire weapons can direct fire. ALL howitzers can; its their very definition. Some mortars can and thats called tube laying.
Try the Avalanche lol, it’s a mortar that can shoot forward but can’t hit anything outside of 50 meters.
i got the one from the battlepass, the fused one for lighters, and hoooooooly crap man the difference from that one to an unfused one is very noticeable. the unfused one has alot wider spread where as the fused one that gets spread reduction its way more accurate. it can hit other builds like a freight train with more accuracy… buuuuut… the aiming reticle is a bit odd. the thing is, the thing showing where the shot will land and the trajectory highlighter are a bit wonky. the first shot ALWAYS lands directly in the middle where the line goes so you better line that up correctly but the thing is so white its hard to see.
the heather however you need ALOT of practice with. ive tried hitting bots with it and its just impossible. the only way your hitting them is if they are a stationary target or if your really good at shot leading. they have a very small hit window and dont have as much of an aoe as the mandrake. i been using them to see if i could make them work together but… its difficult. if the targets not sitting still the heather is kinda useless.
Are you using the Harpy?
the harpy is a light cabin and i typically dont like using it for artillery. ive seen people use a harpy with 2 mandrakes and very very little armor but thats not how i like to play it. but i mean it could work. i typically use heavy cabins for the mandrake or the heather, such as the cohort or the machinist. yeah not the best choice but i only do pve and i do well with them sooooo yeah.
Lol. I got dozens of clips of absolute banger avalanche snipes.
I believe you, but out of how many attempts? All I meant is the accuracy is bad.
I could be wrong, but my perception is that it’s reasonably accurate if you aren’t moving. It’s more that the projectile moves so slow and there’s so much bullet drop that makes it difficult to hit targets at longer ranges.
I haven’t played it for a while, but when it was new and I was still obsessed with it, I started to get better at those long range shots. Takes a lot of practice though.
Play on the Torrero cabin with falcon.
