I know ‘heavy + fast = bonk’,but whats the actual equation in-game? Preferably in actual mayh and not just pulled from the game’s code, please.
Youre not wrong.youre also not right, but your not wrong either
They’re about to change it, so even if we knew, whatever math we come up with will be out of date soon.
You can test it in the garage if you have the ramming meter, but I don’t think it calculates passive melee bonuses.
They’re about to nerf it. I didn’t think it was as effective on the test server…but I was also in a Thug.
Yeah, at the moment, a heavy moderately fast truck can do an obscene amount of ramming damage. Sounds like mass won’t buff the damage quite as much after the change, although that could mean more ramming damage for smaller cars.
I ain’t seeing it on the TS, but wheels do seem to fall off a lot easier. Wheels feel like shit in general, IMO, and I don’t think it feels much different than the brawl, frankly. Trying to line up a shot with the Junkbows (and their more advanced successors) feels harder. Stopping and going is sort of crap, and steering sucks too. Not to mention that even with a reload module, the reload time on these things is excruciating.
I had a lot of fun a few weeks back, and was full on marathoning this game. Now. I can’t stand it even for short periods. After ten minutes of this game, I’m irritated. A lot of it is the controls. Wheels feel like crap.
The shotguns though, they’d probably be OK, and despite the creepy-crawly reload, it’s maybe an improvement (the 3 shot volley). They do actually work now. You just need to take a lap every time you fire them if you are using these Junkbow type weapons.
I know you bought the current BP, and I’m curious about your impressions of the new wheels?
I haven’t played a lot with them yet, but I love the looks and the perk has been fun.
Epic wheels in general handle so much better than the lower rarities.
They sure look nice. Other than that they seem unremarkable. They’re like Racing wheels, but more durable, and offer a bloated power-score to make that mostly irrelevant.
As for their perk, IDK. The guns have all been buffed to a point where it’s not a good idea to be ramming into the enemy, or anywhere near them unless you’re a brick, so the perk doesn’t really come into play much, especially if you’re already in a fast and light build. It’s hard to get hit by anything at all, so I just keep moving, and the power-perk is just never used.
They are Racing wheels, but better. A little more snappy and a lot more durable. They fit nice too, like Racing wheels.
Probably adding them to the new cab will show more of a noticeable dynamic. They will probably shine brighter there…I hope. No, they will. I think they will make a good combo.
They are good wheels.
I weigh a lot and go over 100kmh,yet only do like 300 ramming damage? That doesnt seem so bad.
How can you tell? Last time I tried to gauge that, I found it was difficult to account for the modifiers on passive melee, or any bumper for that matter.
Are you testing that on the ramming meter?
I’m going to see how big of a number I can get later this week.
Last time I did any ramming tests was when Yokozuna was new. Loaded up with boosters and maxed out the mass.
I ram a target dummy and look at number.
Dont you ever insult my beloved again wheels are amazing they let me nyyoooom
It’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
You have to do some tests, with some parts, they all have different ramming bonuses, rule of thumb, the greater the durability and weight the less bonus they have.
the downside of weaker ram parts is they come off with the impact.
Personally i chosen the twin blades, my build is around 12.5 tons and at high speeds with no boosters and depending where i hit i can do between 500 and 700 damage
In PVP
Yeah,i have a freight train plow on my buggy.its less for ramming, and more for knocking shit out of the way since i use hit and run tactics
Buggy?
Just pay attention to your cab class, you can be maxed out in weight and all but if you meet an heavier build / cab than yours you will be mopping the floor with your face not the other guy.
Lighter class ( or equal class by all means, if the other guy has a fused cab for weight than…)
I only use hit tactics, i don’t know what’s a run tactic
Dats an old picture tho
