So I have tried installing Crossout after some time, just to get hit with this message. I have been trying to fix it, but nothin has worked. Searched in the Documents under C.Username, nothing there. Reinstalled it around 5/6 times and restarted it. Never had this issue before. What do I do?
Could be anything. But what I would do is:
- Completely remove Crossout manually
- Delete any Crossout keys in the registry
- Run an error check on your hard drive (select your drive in file explorer, click properties-tools-error checking)
- Perform a disk cleanup (on the disk Crossout will be installed on; select your drive, click properties-disk cleanup)
- Perform a SECOND disk cleanup, this time check the “clean up system files” box
- Perform a disk optimization (select your drive, click properties-tools-optimize and defragment); this can take quite some time, depending how often you regularly optimize it, so be patient
- Reinstall
Good luck, let us know how it goes.

I’m not a computer guy, but XO stopped its use on windows 7, and you need at least windows 10 (or 11, or better if they have better, idk). This was a while ago, so they might have changed this, but if you have an older computer, you might have to upgrade. If you have windows 10 or better, please ignore this reply.
