- how to make crossout a better game for everyone -

Heyo Targem, i like your game but 60% of it sucks.

1: The new deatmatch mode is great and funny, but its an unbalanced mess that could become frustrating for the legit “not sealclubbing” players.

Solution:

  • CATEGORIZE the deatmatch mode, helis vs helis, cars vs cars, MECHS VS MECHS (you are telling me i can compete with mech legs and bought a battlepass just to play that low iq - all vs all - mode or raids??)
  • KEEP THE ALL VS ALL Deatmatch, it’s not bad when you are drunk.
  • IDGAF that the playerbase gets fragmentated, i prefere to wait in queue and have a balanced fun after, rather than play only in an unbalanced cr4ppy heli-cars-mechs with caucaturds helis, guided missiles, flame dogs BS.

2: MAP DESIGN IS NOT MADE FOR A FAST VEHIICLE COMBAT GAME.
…but for a walking simulator (Mechs play great in most maps, honestly). Artistically, maps are very inspired and “immersive”.
But 80% of maps are a piece of sh1t to play in… without offence, are made by an incompetent player but good artist.
Since EVERYBODY plays in those small slalom courses, where u can only camp or brawl hoping your weapons stays on i think this is PRORITARY to be fixed or worked on.
LEVEL DESIGN makes part of the balance itself and make a game great or sh1t, even if the rest is good.

Solutions:

  • Make a simple CLEANING of the maps already in the game, removing useless obstacles and automatically creating more space and putting simple terrain and navmeshes on the spots where bullsh1ts were removed.
I will not name every single map, obstacle, clutter, column etc that is totally useless and unfunny to crash in, making impossible a proper run and gun, and advantaging only no skill users chasing with close range bricks.
FACEHUG AND CORNERING SHOULD BE A SKILLED MOVE, NOT A STRUCK OF LUCK CAUSE THE MAPS SUCK. YO! lol
A smart person with 2 eyes can tell whats to remove by simply playing once per map, especially the smaller ones.

  • INCREASE THE SCALE of the existing small maps : same map, double or just increase the spaces between scenery objects and obstacles, make elevated locations like bridges and steep hills easily accessible with ramps, lowering some hills wiill help visibilty, also favouring jumping and shooting at the same time.
-Slght clean and ease to access to all zones (above mentoned hills and bridges-roads etc) in the bigger maps.
Not much work required, BUT EVERY PLAYER WITH EVERY BUILD WILL BENEFIT.
More freedom to move, more skill, more speed, less BS n front of balls. SIMPLE FK1N FUN.
    Hope is clear.

  • DEBATABLE OPTIONAL POINTS -

  • Making PVP matches that dont have 8 vs 8 human players just 6 VS 6 or whatever number for each team, instead of putting dumb but unbalancing Bots. That will reduce queue time too.

  • Make use of all the maps avaible in the game, even adding them to raids and not only in rare events or player created brawls.

  • Some OP parts should not be allowed at low PS, especially relics and strong legendaries for bots.

  • Double or +50% to the HP for most weapons and some other parts like some wheels.

Thats all, it took 30 minutes so i may have missed something.
Feel free to suggest anything.
To Targem, those things will NOT TOUCH any plan you have about the Packs, Battlepasses and general monetization. WILL ONLY GET THE GAME BETTER FOR EVERYONE.
If you respect your players, you should take a look.

Someone is NOT happy… :grimacing:

Nah, im happy, i could be happier thats for sure
Since it’s the only game i play, i’m trying to make it better for everyone.
What about you? Are you happy?

oh trust me i tried making suggestions to make the game better for a long time. more raids, more pve modes, etc. only to be shot down on reddit by everyone and their grandmothers because “itll divide the already small player base waaaaaaah!”. the crossout reddit community is toxic but even here it doesnt get much traction. sure theres people in here who are nice but there are some… not so friendly people to.

also

I’m happy except when I have to do any hardcore-pvp-type stuff to achieve some coveted prize. I’m an older adult and don’t have the reflexes of the youngsters. :disappointed_relieved:

In reddit and disscord see people IGNORING the points i mentioned, focusing on small scale bullsh1ts lke a 5% nerf or buff, not the general picture of the game and how it could\should be.
And when u keep argumenting, they just begin a kiddy sh1tstorm.
So not toxic, just a bit ignorant and childish.
To purple_snit… reflexes are ok dw, i got to silver, almost gold in UraniumW with a glass cannon cyclone build…then i stopped to keep my sanity cause did 40 matches resulting iin being at the same point (50 pts from gold)
In the end its just luck to get a good map and not one of those low iq brawlfest ones, and a decent team.

The thing about Crossout is that we all want something different from the game, and we all think that our desires are the ones that will make it more popular.

For me, short queue times are very important, and I’ve seen how long queue times for certain modes have a snowball effect, where even the players who like that mode start giving up, which makes wait times even longer.

I’m not saying I’m right, but I do know that I’m not alone in my perspective, and neither are you.

I don’t mind all the obstacle in maps (at least now that they fixed Sector Ex), but I do prefer bigger maps. For me, the obstacles make driving fast more challenging, and I like challenges. But some wide open spaces are fun for driving fast.

I like the mixture of movement parts, and wish all the modes allowed mech legs and aircraft. But I also know that is an unpopular opinion, so who is to say what the best approach is?

Bold of you to assume I have reflexes

Queue in EU are very short at most PS, so the solution as i stated, a simple categorizaton of game changing parts, while keeping the “all vs all” for who wants a mix, would not make big differences in queue times.
Speaking of maps, i don’t want plain and empty maps, but many of those are just too full of BS with a window for shootng of 0.3 seconds (running with wheels and NOT camping) ans spaces that are TOO NARROW to allow even a small mistake. The jumps and ramps dont act as something that can spectacularize the gameplay (run ‘n’ gun’ n’ jump" for example) but as an obstacle to avoid, since THE SPACES ARE TOO SMALL and you end up in a wall or an obstacle after jumpiing, NOT having any space of shoot or maneuver.
And for those problems you have the solution 2 to the map problem. You keep the layout for those who like it, but add possibiilities and fun, removing a bit of frustration
Again, i think that what i request its good for everyone.
Not doing it ts LOW IQ and INCOMPETENCE…and if they know and do nothing, you can also add disrespect towards playerbase

yo Rum…i can get behind most things you have said, and i did my fair share of ideas posting
(you can find them here (An extra game mode) if you want to drop a comment…would be appreciated)

that said, seems like (unfortunately) targem doesn’t give a damn about many player ideas, so…there you have it

interesting, also adding a simple capture the flag mode would be nice. but devs have focused mostly on monetizable content rather than fun itself and variety…

It is so naive to think that new modes will not affect online. Clan confrontation and helicopters have already done this. The difference in power points in a mission is sometimes unprecedented. The waiting time is also sometimes impressive, I live at +7 GMT and on my morning I can wait for a long time, and in the end get four bots and a Euro server with 100 ping

At the same time it’s wrong to force people to play in unbalanced and confused mess.
Again, a proper categorization for such parts would be better for everyone since a major factor in waiting times is also the PS of builds…and the number of players for sure.
In a range from 4000 to 10000 PS i NEVER have waiting problems, and set the server to “auto”. I guess i’m lucky then.
