Huginn cabin - pointless?

i like the huggin , but i havent done any real tests to compare it to just using a cooler instead . usually im running 2 gravastars on it with a fused seal , shiver, and chameleon and on omnis it just shoves people around , gets right under anything and just keeps going .
im sure other cabins can do the same or better though

I have the BP Cohort, the BP Machinist, a fused +power -Mass Echo (It took me 6 cabs) and the new Huginn. I haven’t used any of them in months. The last time I used them in Clan wars was a year ago when I was playing a Cohort, Cheetah Spark Flash Aegis build to protect a hover levi. As is, for Porcupines, I avoid Echo and play Hadron hover or Sleipnir with a Flash, or I play Beholder hover or Sleipnir with Kapkans. Sleipnir is my new favorite movement part.

They both are way faster than an Echo build.

The Hugginn isn’t bad. It just has limited use. It should be used on tanky push builds with Breakers or Hammerfalls, an Onamori and more cooling. The build is Huginn, Cheetah, Hammerfall, Onamori, Seal, Shiver, Interceptor.

On range builds, it is outclassed by Beholder, (faster) and Nova (tankier and faster) but is not a bad cabin if you don’t have those things. Overall, I think that offensively minded heavies, the Huginn and the Echo aren’t bad but they are slow and don’t meet my preferred playstyle.

huginn best used with 3 overheating weapons. it basically a free chiller. AKA 12th point of energy. dedicated to cooling overheated weapons like shot guns mg. and allows for heavier more responsive builds. especially with colasus engine.

105% cooling when all 3 weapons over heat at once

It pairs well with the faction weapons. MG if mount 3.

but it works best with shotgun that over heat. because its on’t a few shots and easier to keep them firing in sync and cooling in sync

I actually think my thunderbolt build is my most successful. Never understood heavy shotgun builds before, but there’s something to be said for the stability and pushing power.

heavy wedge shotty

I find ramming works better than wedging since the wedge fix. I haven’t flipper my train plows for a long time. It’s a good cabin for that kind of thing. Lots of mass and some speed can do a lot of damage just from impact.

was referring to wedge for its durability close in. still ram using it.

That’s pretty sick. That build looks like a wasteland Batmobile or something.

Thanks, I’ve added some flame stickers since that photo, trying for a vintage hot rod monster truck vibe (with lot of mad max attitude)

i’m using the hugin with 4 sledgehammers and a shiver, my sledges are basically full auto after a short build up, currently one of my fave 7k builds,

same sorta combo here , 3 sledge 1 shiver 1 chill, just over 5 k though

None of the module based cabin perks are as good as the actual modules. For example beholders cloak only lasts like 5 secconds.

Eh, I wouldn’t say that. For example Flywheel increases reload speed by 20%. Deadman can do the same when using one weapon (and it still has 12 energy unlike Huginn).
Or the Echo that can increase the reload speed by 50%. Sure, it isn’t a constant boost but you can wait for the right moment to activate it and the perk will give you so much more than the Flywheel.

Except for light and med cabin it’s basically a 17th energy point. Not for heavy cabs.

I’ve been seeing a lot more people combining a cloak with beholder, so that they can’t be decloaked.
Similarly, cooling/reload cabins really shine when you combine them with reload modules or rads/coolers.
At least that’s how I use them.

You only get 20% if you have no more than one reload weapon. Three is only 10%. Not as good.

Yeah but you can still add a flywheel so if it’s one it’s kind of nicer and if it’s 2 then it’s up to build type and style. So there are other perks beyond just saving an energy point on the Deadman cab.

I refused mine for +power.

It makes a great hover cabin despite the speed. It makes for super durably hovers that still respond crisply.

Note: I am not saying this makes it an S tier cabin… merely brings it up from D to C or “Average”

Edit: also I should note, you have to have alot of hovers…

16-hovers hoverbarge!

Okay, that was a little excessive. Maybe 15 should suffice
