I called it - hover nurf to come

I doubt very much CW players use Spitfires, and they were destroyed in such a way that’s no difference playing those SGs or using drones against laser bots.
I’m with you on this.
Balance should be made by average (competitive and casual)
If you balance things by raising the skill floor, you get stuff that are very hard to use by most of us.
If you balance things by lowering the skill floor, every dog and his mother will have stuff that’s simply broken OP

I think what is going on here, is that the heavy users of hovers have +power -weight fused everything on their hover setups which makes them too fast, too much accelleration and too much efficiency from too high for Punishers, Aspects and Scorpions. What makes them overpowered is the fastest, most maneuverable wheel builds can’t catch them with any consistency.

The best hover setups are dominating the best wheel and leg setups. They may not be overpowered at less than max power scores or with unfused parts.

I’m an endgame hover CW player. Hovers are nerfed to a point of near worthlessness.

If they ever stabilize them the way a hover is supposed to be, then I’ll recant. This rowboat-on-a-stormy-sea hover update is astoundingly bad. I can work with low HP or slowing their top speed. But at least get them to stop rocking so much that they end up flipping you when you lose a couple.

Yup. Hopefully they figure them out this time. I like the new model size at least. I just want them to be done with changing hovers so much, but that’s a hard ask for Devs.

The flipping is hilarious, and I’m surprised I don’t see more people mentioning it. Not to mention that the car jacks seems to have a really hard time getting you upright again.

It’s almost the perfect way to address the people who’ve been complaining for years that hovers don’t flip like cars.

And the rocking really seems to be impairing a lot of hover players, although the most skilled seem to have figured out how to build and play around it.

I think the increased instability is a good balance to the increased speed.

Consensus means nothing. If you go off of consensus you will almost always be wrong. Look at the composition of ranged builds that carry games; hovers.

Wtf is an end game hover CW player? You can’t just say what league you are in? This is smelly.

“Wtf is an end game hover CW player?”

No idea. It wasn’t my phrase.

What I was implying is that I use hovers in CWs. I have relics. Nearly all of my equipment is fused. I am pretty much what you would call an end game player with gear that is fused to near perfection for what I prefer. /shrug/

The issue is that they are NOT balancing for CW but low ps game. This is what you see is that they dont want hovers or relics in lower ps games. Rather than put a min PS build level for relics which would solve the issue, they are trying to fix it by smashing the movement parts.

This is right. My hover build have everything fused for power and -Mass. Having some ectra speed does not make up for the wobbly play in my opinion, and clan members.

Ok - so people can understand the people that are leaving the game, three of the players have been here from Beta testing. They are level 297, 278 and 252 so these are the people that quit. They probably have put heaps into the game in time, teaching and helping newer players and probably money.

I think this is how they should have been introduced into the game, instead of changing it to this after years of people being used to the unrealistic stable hover system, especially when it came to slapping 2 ton cannons on them and having little to no kickback when fired!

And now those peoples usefulness has expired.

The high level guys are not what makes this game great. We make it poison.

For every high PS whale we lose the better the game gets.

I’m at least smart enough to realize even I’m a problem. When you have people with an inventory worth millions of coins then your most likely doing things that push normal players away from the game.

these are people that HELPED other with builds, game knowledge experience, getting them CW games when they are early in the game and really just being good people to others in the game.

If those people that left after an OP item was nerfed, then they were most likely “helping” other people to play the same OP things and make the game worse over all.

I have always been a high PS Meta builder. I release most my builds publicly on the exhibition or give them to friends and tell them to pass it around. On one hand you can say that I helped people that could not build to have good Meta builds. And on the other hand you can say I helped destroy the game as a whole.

hear, hear! all my friends are talking about you and what wicked builds youre going to come up with, youre definitely very important, to the game, the playerbase and of course, to me.

You dont even know these people but you make these ASSumptions…

High PS sees a lot of hovers. It seems like they’re dominating right now. It’s probably because they’re one of the best movement parts. If an item is overperforming, it’s gonna get a nerf. If it gets over nerfed, only a few people will use them.
