I hate the new Kaiju

I hate the new Kaiju, I liked the old one more. My biggest gripe with it is the limited charge hold time, I much more preferred the unlimited charge holding but at the cost of moving slow, I liked the old slow but precise Kaiju. Now it just feels like it’s lost it’s identity. I don’t like rapid strike mindless w warrior facehug ram Kaiju. I don’t use my kaiju anymore after the change they made to it to cater to a wider audience. I liked tanky sniping builds rather than ram-spam builds.

I really wish there was an option for people to choose which style of Kaiju they would play rather than completely reworking the core mechanics of the weapon into something of the polar opposite of what it was intended to be, yet keeping most parameters the same and ending up with an awkward mess of slow sniping weapon haphazardly turned into a rapid fire rush weapon.

This gun used to be my go-to legendary for so long and now it’s collecting dust after the changes made to it. The changes to try to make it more popular made it less popular for it’s core audience. As the Kaiju is now, I would never invest into getting one. I do not like the current day Kaiju after the rework, I got the original kaiju because I liked the original kaiju.

This brawl is dogshit, full of aimbot and aim assist jerkoffs.
Also just got 1 shotted… how the fuck?!? (not full charge shot just literally one shot from full health)

It’s not even a fun mode, the kaiju is an annoying weapon to use and just had the same map 4 times in a row…

I want modification kits. They change the behaviors of the weapon to function very differently, like:

the Heather becoming a burst fire like the mandrake,
the mandrake turning into a three-shot burst, direct-fire cannon,
the Mastodon becoming two separate loading cannons or, in your case,
the Kaiju being turned into its old form.

These would be so cool.

I was never a fan of Kaiju and previously only used it in some brawl 1 or 2 years go. I’m playing it again in the current brawl (and not doing too badly, surprisingly) but I’d never get one since I don’t like charging weapons. I know some players who do great with them, so they can’t be bad.

Yeah the new kaiju mechanics are not in my wheel house either. I will do the challenges but as it is said “Practice makes perfect” right?! :stuck_out_tongue:

So you want to hide around a corner forever until someone walks into your line of sight? It does the exact same thing as before, you simply cant hide around a corner in a third person game for that free full charge shot.

The best argument you could have, and ill make it for you, is that it isnt an area denial weapon as it was before. If you hold a small gap a fast build is running through, its 50-50 whether or not you get the free juicy 1000-damage-with-no-repercussions shot in. Before you just got to sit there indefinitely and get free pops on anything unfortune enough to cross your angle. (Which for my money is pretty pussified gameplay if thats the angle your bitching about and the gameplay you aim for).

But even making your argument for you, its still a high damage burst weapon capable of sniping unsuspecting victims at unlimited distance with no bullet drop. Its in a better overall place considering that fast builds can use it, sniping builds can still put in work. But yes, hiding with a full charge indefinitely to get free damage is gone. Womp womp.

If thats how you play it, you are essentially a long range lancelot build. I want to get free damage, not have to fight, and ruin people’s day. Nice.

Longbow archers did that all the time, back in medievil times!

It’s just good tactics… That weird thing nobody in crossout seems to know about these days. Why go into a brawl when you can just snipe from long range in relative safety? It’s not free damage at all, still need to make the shots and long range requires more skill than holding W.

Yes, that requires more skill…at aiming and? Even a lance must pick the right time or place or be stripped by one dual volley of alpha strike. My point is if you need to hold a charge for 38 seconds to even attempt a shot, maybe you dont realize how much of a pass8live crutch that is. Holding a lane in top tier CWs? Sure. But the one teammate in PvP who doesnt do a thing 4 out of 5 minutes 90% of the games, and murders/cripples an opponent 10% of the time? Id rather have anything that spreads the aggro and/or does more from range.

Tl;dr - If you need that infinite hold to use it, your probably useless to the team for at least 60% of gametime per match.
