I like Excel sheets, but I don't know everything

It always sucks coming up with names for my own threads lol
Anyways, I started an excel sheet a few weeks ago because I don’t know everything but I do know that a lot of other people know lots of things. Maybe if I take all that info and put it all together all of us will know lots more than we did previously, possibly even know something new that we should have known but didn’t lol

This is what I’ve got so far on this specific sheet: (current version located here)

These are the specific things that I have a feeling are wrong or mislabeled:

Energy weapons

Power unit - Synthesis, Quasar, Prometheus, Blockchain? (plasma Cutter), Yokai? (plasma rocket launcher), Jupiter? (Twin Barrel Plasmatron), Pulsar, Helios, Assembler? (Electric cannon, calls it overheated plasma in desc.), Nemesis

Radiator/cooler - Aurora, Gravastar, Spark III, Flash I

No idea - Trigger, Blockchain?, Acari, Athena? (reloader?), Destructor, Assembler, Morta

Uncatergorized

Reloader? - Emily, Summator, Corvo, Argument, Astraeus, R-37-39 Adapter, Skinner, Enlightenment, Morgan, Charon, Thyrsus, Scorpion

Power Unit? - Kaiju

BUTT
I’m looking for any kind of constructive critisism. Is something in the wrong spot? Let me know! You think I could do the layout better? Cool, suggest a better layout.
I plan to do a larger sheet more about synergies with cabs/equipment/wheels/weapons as well but I thought this would be a good jumping off point.
Do you think I should have started off differently? Sweet, tell me how!

I want to make it accurate and also easy to read. I look forward to the corrections.

For now, I hunger and dinner calls. :upside_down_face:

I could’ve used something like this when I first started playing. Wasn’t always sure what the weapon/module synergies were; hadda learn through trial and error, which, when you’re new, can be very expensive.

apparently the nagual IS effected by reload boosters. even though it doesnt show the animation for reloading i find i get faster reload speed with one on. someone can test this to so im not the only one but it seems to reload faster for me with a reload booster like cyclops and flywheel.

I am pretty sure that all the revolvers are helped by the reloaders.

they arent supposed to be actually. as far as i know they are only supposed to help certain reloaders and i dont think revolvers were supposed to be apart of that. the reason i say this is because if you fire a gun that requires reloading, aka cannons or a reloading gun like the kaiju, it will play the reloading animation on the reload booster, however if you try that with the naguals / emilys / corvo or the other one then it has no animation but you still get the reload boost from it.
MAYBE its a bug? idk but as far as i know its not supposed to work.

So it seems like my educated guesses with the energy weapons and uncatergorized weapons must have been informed enough to be right then?
Back when I first started playing this game I did come across the realization that things are very litteral with the wordage. The animation on the reloader was news to me, as I always place it under or low on my builds so I don’t see the animation. Same goes with the power unit, granted I thought I’d seen it animate a a couple years ago, I just thought they may have changed it… turns out I may have used it with the wrong weapon. I’ll have to test that out.

I did put all the revolvers with the reloader, it just made the most sense due to them not having the ‘time to overheat’ and the fact they have a reloading animation.

i dont think the power unit has an animation except when you switch modes on it. i dont have a power unit myself so i cant test that.

if you want to know which weapons it works on place it on the top of the build. the cyan, purple and gold ones have animations on them, but from what it seems to me sometimes they dont activate with certain weapons like i mentioned above. emily, corvo and naguals dont trigger its animation but they gain the reloading boost for some reason. i believe the morgan does this to but i havent tested that weapon yet.

i dont think the power unit effects anything but nemesis, prometheus, synthesis and helios. i could be wrong though as i dont have one to test with. you will need to do some of these tests yourself to just to be sure. i just dont know which weapons the power unit effects except the ones i mentioned above. plus its rather expensive to buy as its a limited item. i think it mightve gone down though.

Thats actually exactly what I had planned to do. I have the Flywheel, but I don’t have the revolvers or the nagual.
Granted I do have some energy weapons I intend to test with Flywheel but I feel there’s a possibility that bug with revolvers may come into play.

I got the power unit from a BP a couple years back. Someone had mentioned that it might only work with plasma energy weapons, which I should have mentioned in my first post, because that’s why I had these specific notations:

Power unit - Synthesis, Quasar, Prometheus, Blockchain? (plasma Cutter), Yokai? (plasma rocket launcher), Jupiter? (Twin Barrel Plasmatron), Pulsar, Helios, Assembler? (Electric cannon, calls it overheated plasma in desc.), Nemesis

It’ll be a couple of hours before I get a chance to test the ideas in game, but I’ll definitely post up the results when I know.

i actually bought one, it was 300 coins surprisingly lol. im shocked how much it went down.

its modes are:

mode 1: reduces plasma emitter charging time by 20%
mode 2: increases projectile speed by 25%, maximum and optimal range by 15%

so its really only just for plasma emitters. i mean… maybe you can use it for things like quasars and pulsars but its a waste of 2 energy. theres far better things you can use with them. and even if you use it for other energy weapons i dont think it would benefit them much.

take blockchains for example, they have hitscan on them, sure they can benefit from the maximum range but… thats really all they will get out of it.

I thought about making a list for things that should or shouldn’t be used with other things, but as it stands, this list is for what does work with other things… but I don’t disagree with what you’re saying lol

I don’t personally have Quasars or Pulsars though so I can’t test those but I think I’ll dig through the exhibition for a build that uses them with the power unit and change my UI so it uses seconds on the icons manually count down to see if theres any sort of change compared to a build with a reloader.

I only noticed them making use of reload.

It’s crazy that the modules don’t have a drop down list that displays everything they work with.

I’ve been complaining about that for years. We shouldn’t have to make guesses based on animations.

can you do that on ps5 or is this a pc only thing? does anyone else know?

I could’ve sworn that was an option in this game, but sadly I was mistaken. There’s another game I’ve played that also has icons at the bottom of the screen that has the option of having the time until ready displayed.

In my testing yesterday I only made it through the energy weapons. The rapid fire energy weapons, it’s really hard to tell if the equipment makes any difference at all. A lot of the times the equipment only makes a single count of difference.

Power unit is only supposed to be for the plasma emitters, or has the description changed?

AFAIK, it hasn’t changed but I don’t know everything so maybe it has. It does say plasma emitters now, but I don’t recall what it said when I used to play a couple years back.

I just figured I’d test things as well as see if there were any other energy weapons I wanted.

Most current version. I removed the older image from the OP and placed a link to this one.

Still needs testing on uncatergorized weapons… and I forgot to test the Morta

Newer version here

yeah it only effects plasma emitters because its classification is “plasma emitter amplifier” so it only effects plasma emitters. so the synthesis, prometheus, helios and nemesis.
i tested it with the blockchain and the second mode had no effect on it. so yeah its mainly for plasma emitters only. i hope they change it so it can work with other plasma based weapons because limiting it to plasma emitters is kind of pointless.

Honestly I really didn’t see much of a difference at all with the plasma emitters and the power unit, but I saw a difference with the range using the Synthesis and the Prometheus.

There was a slightly different count* on the Assembler with and without the power unit though. I ran that one quite a few times cause I wasn’t sure if it was just me.

I only own Synthesis, Prometheus, Spark III, and Acari so anything else I had to find a build on the exhibition. Fun fact, you can exclude parts when you search. That sure came in handy lol
When I used Exhibition builds, I made sure none of the other parts affected reload and I fired sitting still with the handbrake on. First test with no equipment affecting reload/recharge, second test with the Power Unit, third test with Flywheel.
Anyone is welcome to test it on their own to make sure I have things right. I want this list to be as accurate as possible.

*Instead of using ‘seconds’ I refer to it as a count since my cadence can vary slightly. I tried to keep it as even as possible.

if you have helios it helps with the speed of those.
it also helps very much so if you have them fused. i have 2 prometheus fused for faster charge rate, combined with the power unit its very noticable.
as for the range, the prometheus has slightly over 150m… id say maybe 155 or 160. with the power units second mode it brings the range up to… slightly over 200 so maybe around 205. its still really bad damage though as you only hit for around half of the damage as opposed to medium to close range.

i didnt see any differences when i tested mine with the assembler. so safe to say assembler is not effected by the power unit.

something weird is going on with my helios to. so it can hit the objects like the markers at 200m but it cant hit the truck at 200m thats slightly in front of the 200m sign… lol what? it looks like my shots are going THROUGH the truck :joy:
