Again, there is no unproblematic way to sell skins/cosmetics for real money on all platforms except through the in-game currency, obtainable with real money
Packs and BP come out once in several months, while skins and cosmetics rotate weekly. There is a difference between releasing several pieces of buyable content once every 3 months and having dozens and dozens of small items each worth less than 1€. On 4 different platforms.
This is when the universal currency is useful. Can you imagine League of Legends putting each skin or cosmetic for sale individually? That would be too much problems and wasted time just for one unified platform. Crossout runs on 4.
As you’ve noticed already, we can still buy packs and BPs the old way with direct transactions. And that’s good and that doesn’t change. It’s the small items that are problematic to sell this way.
Yeah that was a bit of an excageration but still, I’m trying to explain why this model is not common and is not used. Because it creates problems, which can be avoided by introducing an in-game currency. And to that, you reply “I don’t care about their profits”. But the company cares about their profits, as it has to make money somehow, and this is an easy way to save time and money. And due to that, they can sell more content without about the platforms’ transaction policies.
I think we get it. It’s the shell game they play with that currency that makes it more than just inconvenient, but a shenanigan too. Nobody’s making them play silly games for your extra change at the check-out.
Besides we already had an in-game currency.
I don’t think it’s just a high PS thing I play from 4k to 15k on really varying builds. I find most of the actives run out before they are really useful. As far as DMG bonuses go the higher the initial DMG the higher the change is going to be which will sort of slope it towards higher PS’s. Some I’m just am finding annoying like Jay looks great especially for a fast cannon but allies often block shots by accident so you end up losing the bonus really fast as all it takes is one miss to reset the bonus. We’re kind of off topic though so, maybe we should open a different topic thread for this.
It’s not like I care that much about them. XO is going downhill, indubitably. When they crack, I’ll have my laugh.
But the point is, suggestions were given and devs never cared about them even when they looked on and responded to them directly.
So you’re correct here. I do let them “hustle”, because I don’t care much.
To answer the question, I made a huge suggestion which included selling big packs for money. Big enough to avoid any problems with rules of certain plaftorms. You buy a big pack, then you sell what you don’t need. Same goes with vehicles. I’ve got 15 packs and I sold more than the half of sellable items from each vehicle.
First of all, kindly do not reply to me directly, any following bother will be marked as spam.
Second, this is THEIR profit, not MINE. I don’t see the reason why I should care about someone else’s profit. Devs are not my friends. Devs are not my family. Devs don’t give me royalty from every purchase. Devs aren’t the ones I’m working for.
Thus, I don’t care and I will never care. ¿Comprende? (a rhetorical question)
What a grumpy way to look at game. I hope you still enjoy the game itself. No, that wasn’t fair, I don’t care.
Oh I was just looking for some salt, preesh
