Japanification

Just wondering why there are so many Japanese style names for weapons and parts in this russian game.

Haidate.
Keiko.
Kohire.
Kote.
Kusazuri.
Sendan.
Sode.
Suneate.
Mempo.
Nodowa.
Sikoro.
Tanko.
Tenmaku.
Tachi.
Yaoguai.
Yokai.
Yongwang.
Jubokko.
Kaiju.
Raijin.
Fukibari.
Imugi.
Omamori.
Oyabun.
Kensai.
Yokozuna.
Satori.
Kami.

Was the game bought by some japanese company or is the guy in charge of naming new parts japanese? :yum:

Weebs have invaded gaijin, look at that stupid weeb ad Warthunder had a year or two ago. Probably explains why this game is being ruined so badly.

But the parts themselves ainā€™t to bad, just the devs mainly. The new wheels look awesome.

Probably the same reason there are so many english style names for weapons and parts

yeah, the Asian player base is mostly gone. so i guess itā€™s the devs.

ā€œWhy are there so many Japanese style named parts?ā€

Proceeds to name every part from the Japanese faction

Syndicate is SUPPOSED to be Japaneseā€¦

Are you sure about that?

Neon Dragon or Pan-Asian doesnt mean Japanese.

When looking for a car culture to draw models from, there isnā€™t a lot to choose from, especially if there is some emotional aversion to looking towards American car culture for those themes. IDK if there is or not.

If there isnā€™t, Iā€™d suggest they do that, because there isnā€™t much else out there as far as I can tell, but Iā€™m going to look into that.

Japanese car culture is very flamboyant, and other than American car culture, which is also very extreme, Iā€™m not sure where to turn either.

I do like Cuban car culture a lot,

yes, but iā€™m not so sure, i mean American car culture itā€™s must in the western world, you canā€™t go around it.
we grew up watching it and most of us ( Europe ) donā€™t even have roads for them.
Japanese car culture, not at all, until a few years ago, i didnā€™t knew it existed.
This is not the only Russian game i played, but itā€™s the first where the dev vids are not in English soā€¦
Fortunately thereā€™s Inferno cab, when i get it i will get the front and the back and paint it orange.

Itā€™s a no brainer

part of the shop is in Chinese Yen ā€¦

targem thinks this theme might bring more players and coincidentally other games which also had japanese themes in them were a similar genre so they could just steal names and ideas from them. and also some people at targem are weebs, and their publisher is called Gaijin as well

targem will take your money no matter what kind it is.

I will take your money, no matter what kind it is too. I will even barter for fresh eggs, bacon, garden fresh vegetables, lumber, firewood, fertilizer, landscaping material, elk, venison, moon shine, homemade wine, small arms, ammo, fresh bread, and Mary Jane.

Quite the revealing ā€œjust askingā€ question, professor self research.

Thats very correct, its not scientifically sound evidence, mr professor. Something something in combination with all those japanese sounding names. Back to the lab for you, to study a possible connection between the two.

I mean, if i was from a country i would only make games with just stuff from that country ofc. To keep it pure or something, right?

Id have like different races, different groups but ofc they would all share the same nationality, why wouldnt they?

If anyone asked me to implement any other nationalities it would mean theyre from that other nationality, why else would they ask such an absurd thing?

As im from a country ofc id rather only ever see and be with and think about things and people from that country, not any other country where i myself am not even from.

Totally normal way of thinking, right?

I need my sci-fi strictly national, all aliens must be my nationality.

My research didnā€™t really turn up a lot as far as foreign car cultures go. I mean, the Italians make a badass sports car, for sure, but I couldnā€™t find any other interesting car cultures to speak of. Certainly nothing as flamboyant as Japanese car culture.

They have a pretty crazy motorcycle culture too, thatā€™s like nothing Iā€™ve ever seen.

I love it, but personally I prefer the British motorcycle culture.

Ya, thatā€™s a Japanese bike too I suppose, but itā€™s pretty hard to beat the Honda CB 750 in that category. IMOā€¦also I think that particular bike is born from the Americanization of British Cafe Racer Culture, just to further mix things up.

I donā€™t know where else to suggest they go to dig up fresh car culture. I looked.

The Japanese make both excellent engines and have an outstanding flare for style and culture in general. Where else can we look?

And, like the other guy mentionedā€¦ā€œGaijin.ā€ It started early, Iā€™m guessing.
