there’s just a problem with that.
you will be out of ammo in a heartbeat, specially if you make due with only four.
Yes, you want them to be ready ASAP, but that’s it.
Due to their fragile nature want you want to do ideally is to make them count in every charge, keep them firing the target, for the longest possible time which can be very tricky to do.
Pop them just for the sake of pop them, they will be destroyed, you have to know when and where to pop them.
Hawks are not like the other drones, in the sense, you can’t pop them and run behind cover, you have to be there, to play aggressively and well…and you will be supressed by every other weapon.
Until they change the cooldown of drones and things this is why i chosen range and damage.
I never use a genesis. 99% of the time matches end with drones left. but I don’t play drones much.
Do people bother to fuse genesis for drones?
Once they die I want them ready when I need them.
I’m not suggesting spamming the button.
Extra durability on a drone does nothing for me. But then again I’m playing a drone build at 14k+ (in the very, very, rare occasion that I play drones)
Weapons at that level laugh at extra durability on a drone.
I’m at 8.4 k
14 k? I presume annihilators, that would be a different beast all together, they are tougher to shoot down due to their manoeuvrability.
Weapons at that level? Even Hornets laugh at them
radiance was one where they were somwhat useful but dont forget your radar. the drones are useless without a radar to increase their range.
Actually i have a blue radar, i wonder if i can make them with more range with a purple one (600 m ).
maxwell is pretty sufficient , imo
I’ll combo Maxwell or Doppler with Keen or whatever in case one gets shot off.
I was thinking more in the lines of that one that has 600 m range.
Maxwell if i’m not mistaken has 200 m. The one i have has 450 m range
sidekicks arent going to go that far out , i think the 600m range is the keen , and i might be wrong here but i think you still need line of sight for that to work
Sidekicks work without line of sight, but hawks have to have line of sight
im just saying , diminishing returns
I don’t think the drones have enough range to take advantage of the range of the radars. Better to have a radar detector and let them see behind cover.
The best droners simply follow a teammate around the outskirts of the map, wait for the teammate to engage a 1v1, and then drive bside or behind them and add their DPS to it. If they turn to target your drones, the 1v1 is over, the enemy loses. If they ignore the drones, the added DPS should ensure the 1v1 is won as well.
Droners thinking theyll do anything against a competent, top notch player in a good build is laughable at any PS.
Sidekicks, go in with line of sight but they don’t came back if they are engaging even if you lose line of sight (at least was what happen to me yesterday in fortress map).
My sidekick went in the cap started shooting and keep shooting pursuing the other guy, i didn’t have line of sight of what he was shooting , i don’t know what he was shooting nor had line of sight of my drone. was not the only time he did that.
that’s why i said i wonder (if it’s worth or not).
While following a teammate can be a bad/risky tactic, a dead end. That was one of the main reasons i choose range, to be able to provide support in some circumstances that i need just a bit more to do so.
Don’t need to be a top notch nor competent player to be laughable
I believe any radar/maxwell/verifier will max their range. iirc. But any kind of radar doubles their range, so they are all = for the purpose of maxing drone lock on distance. The only exception is Fuze. The rest are “leashed” to your vehicle.
im very familiar with how drones work , i run 3 grendadiers often , sometimes hawks sometimes sidekicks , you wont get full use of those radars with any of those drones, so IMO that 600 range isnt worth it when you could drop a maxwell and listener in for the same results .
Ok.
And between a Listener and a Maxwell?
I’m asking this because i saw a vid from JBrider sometime ago where he shown differences between having a radar and not having.
But the highest he used was the blue one. Which i found it strange.
Maxwell
I run a radar and a radar detector with my drone builds.
I also use the highest rarity I can fit into the PS I’m trying to play at.
It could be a white radar and a blue detector all the way up to a purple radar and purple detector.
I honestly think that is the best answer.
Also, radar and radar detector fuse is priceless. Way worth the coins.
