I Love the Cab , but people say it’s weak, i get it.
My solution is when the perks active, instead of just the power boost, maybe add a bit of extra speed too?
Just a thought.
I would Throw Yokozuna cabin in this as well. In fact i actually barely use yokozuna anymore, it’s just so slow even with the perk. Unlike Kensei.
I’ve never understood Kensei. If you want speed, why not use a cockpit-finwhale combo or a Kronos for that matter, like I get Kronos isn’t the same rarity, but it’s cheap for what it is. Heck, even a cheetah-cockpit could work, or that longer engine I forgot the name of (I want to say Oppressor, but I’m not in-game to see if that’s the right one). You’d have a lot of speed, without needing to be slow during perk cooldown, because there wouldn’t BE a perk cooldown to make you slower. It’d be just speed. The only thing I understand about Kensei is the power is bonkers, but that doesn’t matter to me if you’re slow after it wears off.
It looks cool though!!
(Sorry if I sound mean in this post, I just never understood the point of Kensei, if you could explain why it’s good, let me know.)
Pretty simple, Not everyone is p2w?
Cockpit requires boosters so extra $. Fin whale is crazy expensive, cheetah engine is literally only for drones. Pegasus engine i think you mean, but if we can’t craft it it isn’t worth getting because of the high prices (Xbox has the highest prices)
I like the look of it too.
I find the power boost is helpful if you stopped moving and have to move quickly to avoid damage etc. (But hovers get that free)
But yeah light cabs are faster and better than kensei
It’s very cost effective, in both actual money/coins and energy consumption, as opposed to using boosters.
Then why not use a faster cabin? Usually those too are a bit more expensive
Is there any point in using it outside of that? The speed boost is a good distraction tool, suddenly gaining speed while zigzagging around helps you survive longer, you can use it to get away from enemies faster, and if used with stealth trick people trying to predict where you are because they’re basing their assumption of your position on your stock speed rather than if you activated the perk or not
It’s not an omg meta best thing ever cabin, but having a speed boost at the push of a button has lots of novelty value and some use.
Honestly the largest problem in crossout is that Light Cabins just make medium and heavy cabins obsolete usually. The speed difference is just that big in general and translates to better survivability, performance, damage, success, because light cabins exist Mediums and Heavies are always a lesser cabin to them as a stock setting. Medium cabs just feel like slightly lighter heavy cabs, and light cabs are still the meta
