Kicked for idling

It’s 2023 and we are still getting kicked for idling after we’ve lost our movement parts and guns, I was waiting for the off chance an enemy might drive into me for a +1 kill and SD then, but apparently nope, no that and no scrap 4 u

No, horn does not count, keep pressing W!

I dunno… just sounded like a silly thing to type.

Honking only helps for other things, remember the bumper stickers!

maybe they should make the ‘car jack’ work when we have no movement parts so we don’t get kicked for idling…

Just press forward.

It don’t mater if you have wheels, the game still thinks your trying to move.

oh so they fixed it.
i use to stay on cap going forward and reverse ‘with’ wheels and the kick for idling came up…they told me to turn as well so it didn’t happen again.

This maybe true too.

I don’t find myself in this position often, so I have not tested it in a long long time.

Correct, pressing and holding only counts as one press and after 60 seconds will not count. Kepp tapping.

I just spend the rest of the match looking around, trying to spot enemies for my surviving allies.
Seems to work, as I’ve never been kicked for idling.

yeah. just tap the gas every 30 seconds or so.
Even better, don’t lose your movement parts :smiling_face_with_tear:

I rarely get in that situation. I find it absolutely humiliating, so I build specifically to avoid it.

For example, if I’m on a build that doesn’t have a lot of redundancy in movement parts, every movement part will be mounted to two pieces of framing - maybe more in the case of augers & tracks.

When I use someone else’s builds as a starting point for one of mine, this is usually one of the 1st things I’ll change.

I stripped away some parts of my dual fatty omni build… the wheel is mounted to both frame pieces.

zzzz

you should be able to remove any single frame part and still have attachment points to everything. That is the rule I follow when building my frames. I prefer all frames parts attach to at least 2 other frame parts.

Obviously, when building a specific looking build this isn’t always possible.
