So with Commit being a 24 energy single weapon per build version of a crossbow, any of you guys have any ideas on “single gun” legendary guns of various types?
Single Gun Phoenix: Shoots 1 bolt that sticks onto the enemy and then explodes, just like a normal phoenix. But, the bolt has a lot of weight and hp, so shooting it off of your build takes actual effort rather than any singular accidental projectile of a teammate removing it.
But the special thing of this gun is that the bolt is very big, and extremely heavy. This also translates to the flight trajectory of the projectile, more Avalanche than Scorpion if you catch my drift. When it attaches to an enemy, it adds X amount of weight onto the overall weight of the build. If your build can take it you see no negative effect, but if you’re say running a very near the max weight limit build, you’ll be overencumbered right away. So not only will it stick onto you and explode after a bit of time, it can also make your build be over the weight limit and stop moving, if it can’t take that extra weight. But the explosion won’t super high damage as it’s just 1 let’s say 800kg bolt as an example, so it’s more of a hindering weapon than straight up raw damage weapon. Still fair damage, but for it to make full use of this “slowing down and needing a lot of teammate fire to get it off” part it would take a considerable time before the projectile blew up. And the damage has to still be enough to make up for such a long time before any genuine damage happens.
I think it brings a new interesting variable to matches, like imagine you get hit by this and become very slow, but then enemy fire takes out enough structural parts so you can move normally again even with the bolt still stuck on you. Or, your build has lost so much structural parts during the battle but still has the engine left, that the shot won’t slow your build down at all, even if it originally would have if you had all your parts left. Or, you get shot by this bolt, but can take it, but then someone snipes your engine as well while the bolt still sticks onto you and you now can’t move.

I know it’s boring, but I really want a big 24 energy turret cannon, with no special perk (other than a big explosive shell).
I don’t want a charging mechanism, I don’t want any cryo or heat damage, no need for a reload boosting perk.
Basically I want something like Avalanche, but on a turret and with a lot less projectile drop.
I want to be able to make a tank that looks like a tank.
I would also like a 24 energy Harvester. Again, no need for a special perk or gimmick. Just a really big and scary version of a Harvester, and preferably more mad max influenced.
I wish that new artillery cannon was 24 energy, as that artillery function is tricky to use with two of them, and hard to build around.
A 24 energy version of fafnir would be very silly and fun. I doubt it would be popular, but I can totally picture some ridiculous looking cars to make with it.
Edit:
Why not a high energy flamethrower? I’m thinking something that looks a bit like Remedy, but is the size of an Avalanche. Big difference is that it can create fire puddles on the ground, and has the range of a Skadi.
that might be a thing only time will tell cuz ive made a video on a cannon ur talkin bout
honestly id like to see a 24 energy auto cannon.
24 energy mandrake?
24 energy porcupine is just a massive barrel the size of a semi and its full of napalm
24 energy drone?

24 energy single shot (no tripple shot single shot like what they made paffnirs nickdogs etc be, just a plain out single shot) shotgun. But, it will work like the Parser so 2 firing modes. So maybe call this a high energy Parser idk
Imagine a turreting Avalanche, but instead of shooting a shell, it’s a shotgun. Insane spread, extremely low range in mode 1 (imagine like half of normal single shot shotguns), slow and heavy so it rotates very slowly. But at the same time, not as heavy as a straight up avalanche. Idea is that the main “Avalanche” body is mostly for holding up all the random junk you shoot out like a shotgun from the big barrel. Imagine it like a junk launcher from Fallout, but as a shotgun. Mode 2 has more range, but still not “unlimited” range. Basically imagien a bastard child between a parser and arothron
First mode (no charging) delivers the same kind of shot a parser does, regular shotgun shot with heavy damage for a wide area, has poor penetration ability but also has a huge impulse with the blast. Takes forever for the gun to rotate and reload, but to compensate it’s got beefy hp and does not weight insanely much so you can run medium builds with it. Light builds maybe, but the rotation speed, even when buffed, would kinda hinder the usual shotgun gameplay of move fast and stay glued to any build by speed alone. Pretty much imagine an Avalanche being jury rigged to be a shotgun that shoots nuts and bolts.
Second firing mode though, when it’s fully charged (this only activates if you charge the weapon fully, so there is no in-between shots like with Arguments/summators/parsers and any time you fire, no matter how much you’re charged up, if it’s not all the way you will do the normal shot) is a huge Arothron shot rather than a “proper” long range shot. And it has no impulse in this mode, basically what gives you the huge impulse on normal shot gets converted into energy to send this second shot so far out compared to the normal shot.
A close range shotgun more for tanking shots kind of close range combat, with the option to shoot a bit farther ahead if you need to, but not insanely so. Different from the usual low hp but move fast and avoid being hit kind of shotgun gameplay

we have enough shotguns though…

please no. 24 energy weapons are op and we had enough of them
24 energy Pulsar/Quasar
Fires 3 shots one after the other, like fafnirs/nidhogs do. Perk possibly could be something like each shot that hits boosts the damage of the next one in the volley
A huge mechanical arm that throws a comically oversized stick of dynamite at enemies. You can hold down the fire button to let the wick burn for a bit before throwing so it explodes sooner. Kinda like an Avalanche, but the stick would roll around a bit before exploding.

The Divider.
24 Energy Large area of effect propaganda cannon.
Making foes hit lose track of who is an enemy or friend for 20 seconds and enabling friendly fire for them.
Legendary drone 24 energy idea, Ravager (spider) version
Basically just drops one of the operation I can’t be bothered to google what the name of it was, Lloyd in his helicopter & gerrida spiders, that acts like a big fuze drone (as it can’t instakill like in that gamemode)
Basically drops an entire build that then walks up to an enemy and SDs for hopefully some damage
Which version of those spiders? It could be limited to just 1 of the many spiders, or cycle through the builds and drop a random one out of all the ones available in that mode
I know I say 24 a lot but that generally means the 22-24 range of big guns, I’m just spitroasting ideas rather than doing in-depth design
24 energy BALL STRE-
Ball launcher. Basically you deploy one of those steel championship balls that stays around for some time (let’s say the ball lasts 40 seconds, the reload of the gun starts only when the ball has disappeared so you can’t instantly deploy another once the ball time is over, 1 ball per gun so basically 1 ball per build)
Behaves just like a steel championship ball, except that if it hits an enemy, it does ram damage. So instead of enemies bonking it away with their build, they’d need to shoot at it. Also possibly alter the way it works compared to the ones we can have on test tracks, tickling those with any gun makes them fly off like they were quad toadfished.
But basically you can deploy a ball and bonk it at the enemy to do damage, could be cool
24 energy scope that when you look at enemy they die instantly. Oh, but that is not a weapon.
That’d be unbalanced… then again, the devs don’t balance very well… perhaps they could charge $100 for one. Like a pack with one part that is just that idea. Oh no, what have I done!! I’ve given them a bad idea!!

How about a car-launcher, but it can only be used on leviathans?? I’d be kind of like my bus launcher range blueprints I love so much, but on a movable vehicle, with smaller cars (the range is on PC, basically a bunch of jumper pads that propel 5 busses simultaneously at over the speed of sound).

im kind of curious what the size limit of guns is that they are willing to do. honestly id love to see a huge cannon in crossout, while not similar to the cannon called schwerer gustav i think it would be fun to have a mode in game to show how big the firepower some factions have. i can totally imagine the steppenwolfs building something that big. though if they did make a cannon that was incredibly big its stats would be insane. can you imagine a cannon thats about 30 energy, fires HE / APHE rounds and has a ton of hp but an insanely long reload time?
im very curious as to how big cars in crossout compare to the real life schwerer gustav and the size comparison.
lol kind of. im wondering how big the devs are willing to go in terms of artillery or cannons. the thing is im wondering if they are planning on a relic version of the mandrake but its ALOT bigger with a ton more firepower. it would really be interesting to see. the avalanche is big and has the biggest round in the entire game, but im very curious as to HOW BIG these devs are willing to go if they want to make a cannon as big as the avalanche if not bigger.
The Microwaver.
Short/Medium range 45 degree cone microwave emitter.
Charge up time 2 seconds, active time 8 seconds, cooldown time 4 seconds.
Deals damage to all enemies in a cone as if they were sitting in a fire puddle, and heating up all parts.
Invisible weapon no projectiles, and not blocked by teammates.
Less damage at longer range.
Max range about piercer & blockchain range.
it emits the brown noise and it deals physical damage because your build hemorrhages nuts, bolts and crap due to the drivers crapping themselves.
