Let us stack reloaders

Why can’t we stack reload modules like we can coolers and rads?

I think it could be an interesting way of buffing all reload weapons, and also in keeping with how the energy rework has made lower tier modules useful again.

Thoughts?

There might need to be some kind of curve, or limit for situations where a cabin is also boosting reload.

Maybe it’s got something to do with the fact that in real life, you can “stack” (use multiple) radiators and coolers. I’m not aware of anything like the ka-1 or ka-2 reloaders in real life; that is, you can’t mount a reloader to a mortar and make it lob more rounds in a given amount of time. I know, alot of the stuff in the game is completely sci-fi, but…

Imagine a build with a single high-ps cannon and 4 or more stacking reloaders…a tsunami could become an autocannon. I’d build it in a heartbeat.

I don’t know much about cannons, but I assume there’s some kind of motorized section handling reloading, at least with more modern guns.
So maybe in the Crossout universe, there are aftermarket reload mechanisms. And maybe you drive one with another’s motor, to speed things up more?
I know, it’s a bit of a stretch.

This is the kind of thing that would be so much fun to play, but might end up being way too OP at lower PS.

Not so much.

There could be something added for diminishing returns, much like the tormentor.

Overheat weapons can bypass engine, radar, etc and max out dps if they want. Reload has only hadron cab as option to do that. Allowing multiple reload modules would help to balance the dmg option for reload weapons.

I wouldn’t mind if you could stack them but they would probably lower overall cannon dmg due to it.

At the very least drop it to 2 energy.

I like this idea. :+1:
