Leviathan advice thread

Kaiju is heeeeeh. It’ll slow the levi down which is a big no-no on a fast one, but since it fires a volley and turns decently fast, it’ll usually have time to realign the target and deal decent damage. Honestly Scorps accept no substitutes, as the devs intended it.

Avalanche on the other hand, the levi will just spaz on the trigger the moment it sees a target, and by the time it has aligned it and reloaded, chances are it’ll have lost line of sight and will just spaz again the moment his target peeks again. Put 2 Retchers instead.

If you want a tanky weapon, Tempests/Whirls/Whirlwinds/Stillwinds/Cyclones do pretty good on a levi. Fatmans/Mammoths/Masts are okay on a slow, walking one.

I also highly suggest sticking lots of utility on your Levi. It’s easier to spare 1 energy on a 60 energy levi than on a 16 energy endgame build. Your Levi should probably use at least 1 of the followings if you own them: Doppler, Engine (+mass limit or +tonnage is irrelevant, go for speed, power and perk), Mk2 cloak, Verifier, Argus (anti-porcs, forts, trombones), Averter. I’m probably missing a few useful ones here >.>

Always put a spare 0 energy radar on it too. Preferably the Keen.

Any cabin recommendations? My current one is on Kami, in hopes that the cabin perk will help it against incinerators/Acari/mandrake/Porcs
No idea if it actually works though.

I’ve used harpy on previous ones with lots of explosive weapons, but getting better results with kami.

I believe drakes aim for the tower mostly, same as heather which is the objective. The more damage you does to that tower the more rewards you get per match win or lose.

Soo soo not true. A higher ps levi usually get’s picked more whether it sucks or not. A 55k levi will get at least 10 times more matches as opposed to a 45k doesn’t matter even if it never sees a win in it’s lifetime. The only difference is that having a higher win rate on your levi makes it stay in deployment for longer as having steady win’s doesn’t knock it out of deployment after 6 games. You really don’t want that anyways because the game averages the results for all games fought during 1 deployment so you want to redeploy it after each game win or lose for maximum rewards. Win rate don’t affect the rate of matches your levi get and has always been that way.

Bricky/tanky levis don’t stay in the puddle for as long as you think since the induction of the pegasus. That use to be true but not anymore.

Also: Third wave levis tend to be slower than the first/second ones but they still have a higher win rate. It is hard getting a fast levi on wheels past 50k ps as there is not enough stuff to inflate the ps. The Final last levi you get usually has a higher win rate just over the simple fact that it only got to finish off the remnants of the previous two leviathans for an easier win.

Wouldn’t the first and second wave Leviathans still get the win if the third wave Levi kills the tower?
I assumed “win” was for the whole leviathan “team”.

It’s pretty rare that I see Leviathans win, but maybe that’s just because I’ve made a pretty efficient Levi killer build?

You know what? I’m not entirely sure about that part. The rest of what I just said in my last post I’m 100% certain of. I might download your standard 40k-45k clan wars levi from exhibition and test it out and tell you how it goes.

I’m definitely going to try building a higher PS Levi and report back.

Going to put a mandrake and a Heather on there, see if I can take out the tower.

I downloaded a 40k clan wars levi and gonna try it out. Ill let you know how it goes. Don’t have retchers so I used thyrus instead

Nearly 1 hour in during peak hours with this 40k clan wars levi and still no match so not looking good. It is not uncommon for my regular levi to have 6 games in and a victory on top at this point.

It was not uncommon for my levi to only get used ONCE in a 72-HOUR period; between that, and only getting MAYBE 14 copper tops, I gave it up.

You need a levi that is at least 50k ps bare minimum. When I was keeping track of my levi results I picked one random day in my steam screenshots. I had 34 battles on that day out of which 6 were victories which is actually kind of on the slower side for my levi. I’ve had day’s were I had maybe close to 100 battles if not more in a single day.
Edit: I tallied up how much copper I earned on that one single day I was just talking about and it came to 1028 copper. I could of earned even more if I deployed it after each match. If your playing a lot and are around to redeploy after each match to get max rewards you can earn some serious copper deploying levis into invasion as long as the power score is high enough.

40k ps clan wars levi has been deployed for 2 hours and 10 minutes during peak hours and not a single match yet. I say you might squeeze 2 matches per day if your lucky using levis at similar power scores

3 and a half hours in and I finally got a match which was a little shorter than i expected but still pretty bad considering that it was deployed during peak hours
Ill post the daily results comparing this levi to the run I had on my regular 56k levi right before I deployed this one.

40k clan wars levi 3 and a half hours into deployment (nov 7th) 1 battle

My regular 56k invasion levi 2 hours into deployment (nov 7th) 9 battles

Ill deploy this 40k clan war levi for another 24 hours and update on the results

doubts that performance doesnt matter but i dont really know.

think about it, there has to be a system to prevent leviathans from throwing matches. and something tells me that used to be an issue at times.

if a high ps levi gets picked more its because it fits the ps bracket where most invasion teams are and because fewer players can build high ps leviathans.

if your theory was right, one could bloat ps on a really shitty leviathan and still get big boy rewards. doubts on that.

To get your PS high enough to get into the third wave bracket, you’re going to be using enough high end items that your Leviathan will be a threat by default.
What motivation would there be to make it deliberately bad?

That 40k levi I deployed took out 10 players and it haven’t seen a single match ever since so I don’t think it is anything to do with how well the levi performs. There is no way to measure that metric anyways. When my levi goes on a winning streak the amount of matches it get’s still doesn’t increase. I’m willing to bet you can build a levi entirely out of fuel barrels with no weapons and it would still see more matches than lower power score leviathan’s.

Those clan war levis like I downloaded earlier and deployed are still pretty tough, they most likely have a higher win rate than mine but they just don’t get enough matches. So having a lower ps levi don’t mean it is less of a threat it just won’t get deployed into battle nearly as often. You want’s a good balance between win rate and amount of battles it gets to see. What’s the good of having a levi with a high win rate if it don’t get to see battles in the first place.

I’ve been deploying this 40k clan wars levi for nearly 24 hours now and have gotten 3 matches in total which is about 20 times less than what my regular 56k levi gets. It came out as a wave 2 levi twice and a wave 3 once. So you will probably get somewhere between 2 to 4 matches every 24 hours with a 40k levi. Here is the results for those 3 matches.

This was a 29K leviathan I threw together in about half of an hour. It only got played once in 24 hours, and that was around the 23rd hour. I guess it didn’t do too bad, it killed 5 cars and lasted over a minute, if I’m reading the chart right.

I made a new leviathan with all legendary weapons, and it is getting more matches, and killing more players.

Next I’m going to try boosting my PS with more movement parts, and possibly reduce my modules so I can have more legendary weapons.

Bloat the power score with whatever movements pats you got. Get the ps to an area where your getting a decent amount of matches and then focus on increasing win rate after. You can only make a levi so good anyways and I say the maximum your gonna squeeze out of any levi is 25% tops. Mine is 15% for comparison and that got golaiths, hermits, armored tracks, hovers, meatgrinders, omnis, claws you name it it is on my levi and it does really good and get’s loads of matches.
