Dont worry we got 2 kidneys i just need a few legendarys pre fuzed.
So some people who play XO can barely afford there own bills being paid and just try get themself entertained with this game because the entery to play it is low.
And then they see a event like this and say EEH thats pretty cool.
Then they check how they get (Resource lighters) and you lost probaly most of them.
But yeah the recent changes to how they wane earn money in this game are even putting me off.
I might not be a big whale but i spend 10.700 hours ingame at this moment… and well i wont lie i did spend some cash to have fun but if i count the hours vs money spend / i didnt buy any ather game or thing for last few years.
But yeah i never get the delux packs.
And spending a bit on the battle pass is fun but i never wane buy levels…
Stil this recent event with the lighters i dont know even im not okay with it.
If this is how they wane market there game i think we gone have a rapidly decline of people who stil wane spend a coin or even wane play the game.
10 bucks is okay but most of the pass is junk (so only the lighters are worth something)
Im stil debathing with myself if its worth it for just 480 lighters (would love 3 pre fuzed medians and power fuse photon (but that would be all i spend on this…) Stil its not worth my time maybe.
I could also use that 10 bucks on something else or acctuly good seasonpass…
+they litteraly cheaped out on the free stuf not even a single lighter for F2P guys to get something from this…
I wouldn’t do a deluxe pack either but if there was a garage I liked from one and it was sold separate at a fair value I might buy it. Same thing goes for CKs though they are probably 2 to 3 time more expensive then they should be especially ones made for a previous event. This type of account glitter is generally supposed to be low dollar feel good purchases.
I think this is how they are dealing with controlled limited production of some weapons. Stillwinds are at near 7K on the PC with a small list of similar behind them and offering them as fusions does not disturb the market price. I think what they plan on doing is offering a batch of weapons for events like these over and over again before allowing them to saturate the market. You’ll notice since they took out perm crafting of the BP items they always leave a few out from distributing workpieces that they often give out. Unfortunately they seem to link market price with popularity desire for ownership. That doesn’t always work.
I don’t think every player will have an issue with it so the decline might not be that harsh but what it really does is lessens the sandbox style gameplay that was intrinsic to the base game. Its a very slight change from crafting to placing acquisition of items over it.
To me this was more of a $5 or less battle pass at most. I don’t know why they think they have to charge the same amount for every battle pass but they don’t really have to. If they really wanted to they could probably run multiples at different costs at the same time too. The majority of their bps focus on general gameplay anyway unless they have an event focus as a secondary dynamic.
The other thing that bothers me with these event locked premade builds is I don’t know if they will ever be useful again. To me they feel like they should go into an event blueprint tab and you should keep them post event. If they aren’t used in other premade events though they really don’t have much value in the totality of the game as I can get much of the same type of builds right in the exhibition. With out them clarifying intent of use it makes it harder for me to value the idea of buying in.
I’ve sold more of those unfused then I’ve ever bothered retaining. I go through this too but that’s often why I remind myself to try to stay liquid. This events a little funky where you don’t have to put in too many items to get something back though. If you do I’d go for which one doesn’t get as dusty…
It does make me wonder if they ever noticed that some games run multi tier events better. There really shouldn’t be empty level rewards either even if the reward is much cheaper then the paid tier. Every little trinket reward counts in the F2P games.
Assuming the EUR 99.99 pack with 1500 crosscrowns, the prices of the workbench items are as follows, if they were obtained exclusively with additionally purchased BP levels:
- EUR 40.53 for a legendary,
- EUR 14.35 for an epic,
- EUR 7.60 for the Median,
- EUR 4.64 for Aircraft Covering,
- EUR 3.38 for Orange Grid and Call of the Flame,
- EUR 2.11 for Yellow Grid.
Crafting costs, assuming the same EUR 99.99 pack with 1500 crosscrowns:
- EUR 44.44 for a legendary item (assuming that’s 3300 coins),
- EUR 7.2 for an epic item (assuming that’s 540 coins),
- EUR 2 for the Median (assuming that’s 150 coins).
Unless I counted wrong, it would seem there is a marked cost-to-profit ratio difference among these three tiers in the BP workbench. Though it would still make sense to get an epic item or a few Medians if one finds these upgrade sets optimal.
This BP is definitely a convenient and economical way of obtaining an equivalent of two or three legendary items that one would need for an upgraded version. And it may even be cheaper than crafting a single legendary item.
I had repeatedly said in the in-game chat that it’s 480 because I missed the fact that level 1 is free. The equation included above accounts for that free level. I apologize to anyone that I may have mislead. It turned out that it actually is 495.
I’ve never spent money on Crossout because of the developers’ lies, the negligent game development and the moderators’ behavior. I can take nerfs if they make sense, but doing a stupid nerf and then telling an obvious lie doesn’t boost investor confidence. By now, I’d have spent at least USD 50. Which is very little, but still, it’s money they didn’t make.
A few examples:
- The SpidermanⓇ cabin came in a pack with ACs, and it’s now a rocket cabin.
- The Cockpit came in a pack for regular PvP, yet the cabin kept getting nerfs based on its performance in leviathan cars. While it was very simple to give it two separate perks for regular PvP and leviathans.
- Lying to us about reducing the the Humpback’s energy pool (which affected all future epic and legendary heavy cabins) was intended to cover up the fact that Tard’em/Gagging wanted to sell us the Inventor pack at USD 64.99, unless we preferred having to level up a whole new faction (could be some 70 days up to level 15, so a bit less just for the Quantum recipe). The lie may have sort of justified the Humpback nerf at the time, but a lot of auxiliary modules have been added since then, and those can have a big impact on combat performance.
- Lying about how it’s better to have the reloading perks separate from the engines, just to sell them to us a second time, in a BP, in modules pre-upgraded for our convenience.
Meanwhile, the Retcher is so destructive (at least in raids) that it could easily be a relic item. How much money have they missed out on due to that fiasco? All those peasants using it like a shotgun surely wouldn’t mind the extra cost.
Edit: This link apparently reduces the cost of any Store purchase by 3%:

A very childish way to look at it. Have you ever been on a public road? Do you tell all the taxpayers that paid for it, hey I paid a tiny bit, but you guys are scummy because you paid for the rest of the road I am using?
Further, Adults play this game, who the F are you to tell any one of us how to spend money we labored for?
Do you think a pack or season is a lot of money to me? Do not think your position in life is the same as mine.
If you are poor and can’t afford it, don’t lament other people that pay for you. Enjoy it.
Most of us dream of someone paying for us.
If you are taking a moral stand, great for you, though you lost your moral ground admitting to paying 2 dollars.
I am not. It does not make me any less “moral”. I decide how I spend my entertainment money just like any other adult does.
Edit: Also, other than resources amount, P2P isn’t really any advantage once you are an established player. You can earn plenty of coins if you are smart enough to use the great market tools in the game. Or you have common sense.
Plane taxiing on a runway… sounds absurd, but you’re right. That’s why I’m not playing it and rarely play any of these events with pre-built vehicles. They all handle like sh!t to the point I can’t really control what the vehicle is doing. It becomes a competition of luck for most & you have the small minority who grind the hell out of the event and get very good at handling these turd-trucks.
Again, I have absolutely NO IDEA where you people are reading these supposed insults I’m hurling at paying players nor did I say anything about morals. This isn’t my first F2P game, I understand how it works in terms of funding. I just stated, that buying into badly monetized games gives devs of said game absolutely no reason to change the bad monetization. There are, however, much better means of earning players’ money. I enjoy the game, so I play it. I don’t enjoy the monetization scheme, so I don’t pay it.
I am also an adult playing this game, so I can spend my money I labored for as I please too lol.
Well, its true that pay in crossout will help you to improve faster, but be realistic, how much is relic in real money? I play Playstation, and price of relic its easy 40k coins, if 3000 coins is arround 50 euros… will you pay more than 300 euros to get only 1 relic? That have no sense for me. Im playing for 3 or 4 years, i start with 3 88 canons, after this i build flute hover, with this flute i played for 1 year clan wars not beig top 10, after this time i already had uranium to craft 3 porcupines… During all this time i never paid any pack or coins, i just paid 2 batlepass and it was after have my relics…
In experience i had i can say that this game is play to win, and only if you talk about CW because to play scrap you dont even need meta build.
Guys can i kindly remember all of you that this is about the event and the lighters.
Instead of starting a fight what you do with you’re personal earned money.
ive already said i felt mixed about the event.
And yes there have been crazy people in XO who like to pull there wallet to get something done.
So yeah depending on what a person his time is worth to them or money or entertainment value its al personal at that point
End of the day its money you spend for entertainment.
Stil we as playerbase can ask or selfs a qeustion and few more if we agree with serten things
In my fair opinion i dont find the current event a healthy one. but for somebody that only wants to pay 10 bucks for it to skip some grind i wouldnt mind it.
Stil the remainder of getting lighters true buying levels is something i cant agree with.
So being back to topic even if its linked to money.
What a person does or do is his free choice and will to proceed to do so same for his money earned and spend.
-
If any of us want keep playing a game we like it needs have something to grease the gears atherwise the system eventully stops working and goes bankrupt or they sell it to ather company who will become maybe worse then the original owner…
-
Its a endless loop a bissness needs money to operate and work but also needs make profit to keep a future and to create new things
Stil there are nicer ways to make money then how they did the lighters event.
Also it kinda feels rushed and just a place holder event due of 21 days.
I think this lighter event is important as it gives players who missed the Amusement Park Season 3 pass a chance to catch up in the game, by giving them a -Mass + Power Beholder for $10. This cabin is the foundation of most hover and Omni builds, all 16 energy builds, and is the second best cabin in the game, behind only the -Mass +Power Nova.
People have been begging for years to get a chance to release the cabins from Season 2 and 3. Well now, here’s the chance. And, this lighter battlepass is easy to complete and kind of fun compared to the Season 3 pass that I had to complete.
Season 3 only gave you this Beholder, 4 fused Hermits, and a Nest as well as a bunch of garage decor. It was 70 levels, it took about 3 months and was also $10. The longest task on this pass is play 5 games. Also, it gives you decent plastic. I don’t see the problem with it but I understand that it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
the only real problem here is the limit amount of lighters you can get for 10 bucks (so that means 1 legendary).
but lets say you would like a few destructors with same fuze or AC80 stilwind (if you already own that cabine).
Then it quikly because not that intressting.
Stil you make a fair point there for people who dont have that cab or those fuzed wheels.
But you are only limited calculated on 480 or 495 lighters with the 10 bucks.
means you cant get much from this event.
Unless if you get 3 medians and a photon power fuze cabine (which im poundering about).
Sure. I agree with that. This is a remedial battlepass. If there isn’t anything that interests you, then there’s nothing wrong with not playing. I’m playing it to get a third -reload +range Destructor. For new players, I strongly recommend the Beholder cabin, the Hermit fusion, the Stillwind, and the Destructor. All of this is very strong high end gear.
Which I can understand from the company side, a new player used a recent give away for 3 days premium and a blueprint. Now, here is a chance for enough money to get 3 matching Legendary Weapons and Cabin, you do not even have to play the Event Brawl.
But, from my point of view, where I took 2 years to get my first Legendary, the Harvester, which was nerfed right after I crafted it, but I sold 4 before the price crashed, I crafted 5, because you had to rent 5 Legendary Benches at one time back then, it is scummy that a new player can just catch up to me for cash.
The -spread Stillwind and +power Beholder are special fusions you can’t even get from grinding. I have 3 -spread + overheat Cyclones and the spread fusion is like a cheat code. It would take about 12-14 Stillwinds on a 2 weapon fusion weekend to get a set of those. At 6000 coins a gun that’s 84000 coins or $700 in packs. For about $100 you can buy a set of 3 from this battle pass right now. For another $50 you can get the Clan wars fused Beholder to go with your Stillwinds.
So to elaborate on your point, without spending money a free player can never catch up to gear like this.
I really don’t mind the “buy to catch-up” aspect, and let me explain…
If you’re an even remotely experienced gamer, CrossOut will get very boring very quickly if you’re grinding. The packs & seasons allow someone with skill and a little cash (let’s be honest - very little cash) to catch up a very small amount. They go from playing miserable noobs with Sledgehammers and Chords to playing against & with folks with a little more talent with much more interesting weapons and builds.
Go and look how dull the fusions of modules/cabs/wheels/weapons are if you’re stuck in the blues…
Now, if they are terrible players, that becomes obvious pretty quickly, and all they’ve done is spend money to get to be absolutely slaughtered by people with much better weapons.
Just last night, in a hard raid, I got partnered with a single second player. He was in a 16k triple porc hover. I was in my 13k Arbiter/Aurora/auger… mopped the floor with him, and I’m not even that good.
