* Mass Testing, Planned balance changes in the upcoming season

You’re missing the overall effect. I think they are bringing it closer to the middle. (putting hovers closer to the ground will ripple through the ranks,) What’s effective wont much change. What will be effective moving forward is what counters what’s effective already. This is an actual blance patch. For the first time in…forever. it may not be enough, but they are reducing what’s ahead, and increasing what is behind.

Tl;dr: Brick meta too strong, nerf a few components and see what happens.

Full disclosure, i could be wrong.

i didnt notice this stupid fucking change, who asked for this?

Really depends on how big of a boost modules give it. With Yongwang, it felt quite significant, so it may be enough. Running it with a Daze and/or shields could be a strong combo.

I never mount it upside down, but I see others doing it, and it makes it a lot harder to shoot off. But also forces people to use it at close range. I like to be able to aim with it and lob grenades over cover.

My time on the test server and is the second one that I ever done. The disabling of inertia on projectiles for the porc is an absolute godsend for non camera steering users of strafing parts. It is soo much more fun to play despite the massive nerfs to the porc. I tested out the echo cab, porcupines, meat grinders, hovers, cyclone, gerridas, goliaths, armored tracks, Jotun and skadis all in all. Skadis definitely needs more buffing.

I approve of this update for the most part but the meatgrinder durability nerf is way too much, don’t know why they felt the need to touch the grinders.

nice, but does the test server let you play in matches? or at least test it on bots?
garage test never does what things do in battle.
thx for the vid…

It do let you play pvp but good luck trying to find a game. I should of checked the game centre to see if I could play against bots.

No sweat, I ain’t uploaded in almost month so just a little something to add to the channel for a few clicks lol

Yongwang may as well be removed from the game, it they’re gonna make it launch only 2 marbles if mounted upside down. It has no deflection, and when you mount it right-side up, it rarely hits anything at a distance. The few people who I’ve seen using it (all in bedlam), often mount it underneath and upside down, so that it can at least be used to demage wheels. I mounted it upside down on a novelty copter for use in bedlam, where I use it simply for the annoyance factor.

Do note they are removing the negative effects so you should be able to drive this on faster builds now too. Most of my old builds for this were for holding a charge and picking long off targets while going slow. It was not something that was really fun to play though.

I don’t think most of you can say that slowing effect was not annoying as hell.

I’ve used Yongwang since it came out, and never had to undermount it to make it work.
It just takes some practice, although if
they also change the projectile inertia thing, it should be easier to use.

It’s a very useable weapon, if you’re willing to learn how.

I hope you are right and I am wrong, but I am not convinced. Draco brick took 12% dmg nerf…but new module boosts speed, power, amd damage. Sounds like an overall boost. Meanwhile, hovers get grounded and the best legs get crippled. Oh, and porcs get nerfed.

More draco brick meta leads to an even longer break for me. Please prove me wrong.

A lot depends on where the node points are. I suspect it will be very difficult to connect it to the cabin, engine, and multiple weapons. Depending on how it is laid out, it might turn out to get more use with the high energy weapons, as they’ll only need one node to maximize the damage output and leave room to connect the cabin and engine.
Combine that with how they are changing Kaiju, and it becomes something more like that new cannon.

As far as I know, there isn’t any picture yet of where the nodes are, right?

Omg I hated it when I would shoot fortunes at someone while going forward and shooting sideways, and they would miss because i was going forward, and they’d go to the side instead of directly at my enemy!! This might make fortunes worth it for me again!! :open_mouth:

I’m going to assume the 3 dots in a square are the nodes, similar to averter nodes. Not sure though.

Edit: link to the place I found the picture:

That’s more nodes than I expected!

Looks like you could probably get three weapons on it as well as a cabin and engine. Weapon placement would be a bit though.
Do we know how much energy it takes?

If I’m reading this right, 20 000kg auger builds would still be getting a 100% “damage protection bonus”, and the heavy ones would get a 200% bonus.
Depending on what that means, that could more than compensate for the durability nerf. And the mass reduction will allow us to carry more armour without getting too sluggish.

Can we assume they mean this new perk buffs the individual damage type resistances? Anyone want to do the math on how much extra durability the new perk will generate?

if my calculations are correct '1 % ’

Kaiju buff looks pretty good though.

Depends on what you attach it to.

the major issue though is this is a charging weapon. you cant tap it to fire, you have to hold it down and all of its strength comes from holding down the trigger. and to only be able to hold it down for 4 seconds before it fires automatically is bad. its going to result in lost shots and up close it has no way of defending itself really. i think this is a bad change they made to it. 4 seconds is to little time.

You’ve never been able to do this though. Like I was saying before where going to have to re-figure out how to play the weapon. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad change though.
