i know that, im just saying. i have a bad feeling about it.
i like the kaiju and i think its an interesting weapon. i just dont want to see it suffer so hard like many other weapons. theres a ton of weapons that suffered heavily from nerfs, i just think that the 4 seconds before it fires is far to little for a weapon like this. i could be wrong but given how long it takes to charge on top of reloading… i just got a bad feeling is all.
yes those nodes are the ones they attach to. the ones with the 3 pins on them.
I think that with the changes, it could end up getting used more like how that new cannon is being used. I’m picturing it on a lot of fast mobile builds, and people shooting it without fully charging it.
Well if we believe the patch notes, it wasn’t supposed to be hitscan originally, and that was a bug.
I know many here assume everything the devs say is a lie, but it’s true that it was never advertised as hitscan. Weren’t the BP versions fused for projectile speed? That wouldn’t make sense if they intended it to be hitscan.
Coders cheat often if they can get away with doing less it’s often more practical. The percentages in the game are probably not correct either. It was hitscan and they did change it over to projectile though.
I know it was hitscan and they changed it, but the official explanation at the time was that it was never supposed to have been hitscan, but was hitscan on release by mistake.
Correcting an error is a bit different from making a change. But I know some people believe that the official explanation was a lie. I don’t think it was a lie, because it wouldn’t have made any sense to have projectile speed as a variable if it wasn’t intended to be a projectile weapon.
Anyway, we both seem to agree that the proposed changes probably won’t ruin the weapon, but will instead lead it to be used on a much wider variety of builds. Old builds will still work, but some newer ones might prove to be better.
I’m looking forward to the change. The slowing thing and low rotation speed really restricted what kind of builds could effectively use it.
I would rather they continue to let us hold the charged shot indefinitely though. Or just get rid of the whole charging mechanism and just give it a slowish reload.
Im gonna use the Kaiju for sure now. It was useavle on legged builds with golaith side armor, but now you can actually do some guerrilla warfare with it. I cant wait to put it on a booster build and see what sick shots (not to mention damage) i can do with it.
this, i think this would make the kaiju unique in the fact that it can hold its charge rather then losing it after a short time. it would set it apart from other weapons.
after they changed the upgrade perk on the kaiju it made the weapon worse.
one of the fusions was reload speed or charge speed i believe but they got rid of that perk which really hurt the kaiju.
I really didn’t mind the change the people that were really complaining about it were down in the 6k ps score and below area. Did you happen do be one of them?
like i said, i dont play pvp. i play pve and i did notice a difference in pve as well. the kaiju just doesnt perform well in pve and its damage seems quite low. plus theres no indication for when the shot is fully charged so that doesnt help either. i think it needs a little tweaking imo. its a hard weapon to use.
There is a ring around the targeting cursor that fills up as you charge the weapon. When it does the full 360 it’s fully charged.
It’s completely dependent on if you target things well via the perk. I wouldn’t do raids with it though too slow and partial charged shots are not accurate. It will work fine in patrol though as well as general pvp.
its not like that for the kaiju. itll do that for other weapons but it doesnt function the same way for the kaiju. there is no ring around the targeting cursor. you literally have to pay attention to the icon of the weapon below to know when its fully charged.
thats the tricky part about this weapon though, its damage is heavily reliant on the entire volley hitting its target. bots dont need to worry about this because they never miss. we have to though because its not often that youll ever be able to get that perk to activate.
