although the extra players are not on,we only had 3 vs 4.
Yeah this has also been happening in levi invasions lately. Normally a 4-player mode, but from time to time, you’ll see a fifth person “ghost” listed.

The timer ran out for allowing people to attempt to connect to the match. I’ve had this happen a number of times too.
I have had those slow connections to the match servers myself lately. Many times dropping into matches
up to 40 seconds after start before spawning. I presume the upcoming 4 B.P’s a year and the flood of mini events are keeping their I.T department too busy working on them rather than the integrity of the servers.
100% speculation but feasible.
