Some 15 minutes before the deadline, I realized that searching “MH_EN” only shows vehicles with this exact name. The contest rules state that it’s a “tag,” which is misleading, because it turns out it has to be the exact name. Along with one other player, I was able to rename my submission before the deadline. But there are many others, including some bigshots, that didn’t know about this, and they could be omitted by the jurors. Ironically, some of the most famous art builders and building contest winners, who are friends with Gaijin employees, and clearly favored by them in some of the contests, would suffer as a result of this change (scandal?). (But they’re like farmers, farming likes and subscribers by posting low-res pieces in the 80-part section, so I don’t mind. 
)
I’d like to know when and why this was changed. For years, searching a tag would also show vehicles with more characters following the tag. It could be a case of tampering with the results of the contest, or maybe it’s just a coincidence.
One other issue with the contest rules is they don’t state if the tag has to be added at the beginning of the name - which detail was mentioned in building contest rules for years.
But why did it happen, seriously? Why is the game constantly being ‘downsized’? Yeah, we get new features, but we lose some others, too. Like the very convenient ability to scroll the chat window with PgUp and PgDn - I used that a lot.
Going by memory, here, but it wasn’t required to have that NAME, but only the TAG.
Right?
I’ve won a lot of these contests over the years, and am very aware that I did so mostly by being on of the few to follow ALL the rules. 
Yest, the tag was required, but adding a name didn’t interfere with anything. Now, if you put just 1 extra character, your submission still qualifies, but may not be noticed.
Which means that a tag is a “tag,” which the rules of past contests specified to be put in the “name,” which marks a clear disctinction between a “tag” and a “name.” If the contest organizers meant “MH_EN” as the “name,” this would be the first time for the rules to confuse the “name” with the “tag.”
But you know all of this, as a regular contest winner.

use ur mouse wheel to scroll up chat but the rest just sounds like a brain issue
If you’d ever cared about scrolling the chat, you’d know that it’s a hassle doing it with the mouse wheel, and PgUP/PgDn was much more pracical. For someone that actually cares about reading, which you don’t. Enjoy this rare occasion you get my attention, because you’ve been on my blacklist in-game for such a long time, I’d forgotten why, but it must’ve been for similarly primitive behavior.

For clarity… Most of what I have won over the years were on FB & Reddit. Those contests had fewer participants than the in-game exhibition only contests. They were easy to win… I mean… at least one, there were supposed to be something like 10 winners, but only 7 people entered.
