in mech and heli we need a cap on how many enemy orbs an ally can hold of enemy orbs because they hoard them refuse to take them to base and lose them once destroyed.
Was just in match ally refused to take last orb needed back to base when was hoarding 6 orbs risking loss of match by doing so. lost track of how many matches were lost when live players maliciously hold on to orbs refuse to take them back to base costing whole team nearly half their resources for match. this behavior needs to be ban-able or implement a MAXIMUM of 2 orbs one can carry of enemy at time.
Also when explained this to GM Big Daddy Buff on PC and requested the address for suggestion page so could submit this badly needed change he refused to give it or even engage at all.
I know he could given me the address because he has done it before, where I can’t open links in game due to the bug with anti-cheat not allowing browser to be opened. from in-game.
Also we need a report function to report malicious play like this if this was done in raids get banned from the game as per stated in rules this rule needs to be for all match types that give increased reward based on wins. by hoarding more than two that intentionally has a NEGATIVE effect on winning match just like behavior would cause raid fail. which also limits resource pay out when lose.
I have lost complete count on how bad this problem is its so freaking bad needs to be addressed because this is flat out ruining mech heli where need to get orbs to base to score. and win match. to get full resource pay out.
Vanlifer, you need to understand that just because you write to us doesn’t mean we’re obligated to reply to you every time.
Saying that I refused to send you a link is completely FALSE.
You probably wrote to me at some point when I wasn’t playing (likely doing backend moderation)… Because when I was online, I replied to you. So I’m replying here to set the record straight. Once again, I won’t tolerate my reputation as GM being tarnished by falsehoods.
I even took the time to write to you privately yesterday following your discussion with smol…
In fact, more than one report isn’t necessarily required. But as I’ve explained to many players… some types of reports sometimes require concrete and obvious evidence before action can be taken.
Link to a video, something like that, which helps us see and be able to take action.
I have to agree with @C_scribble it would be nearly impossible to tell if someone was doing this maliciously unless they are telling people not to do it and are caught doing it.
Personally I think it’s just a bad mechanic and should probably be altered to automatically award the points after a set time limit for each individual orb provided they are held onto. This would allow a team a chance to regain those points still while not removing the base return function completely. There also could be a dynamic indicator near the player name showing how many orbs they hold to identify higher value targets until the orbs were auto-resolved. This would give each team a clear indicator of who they should prioritize to attack or defend.
There actually is an indicator as to how many orbs you’re carrying that everyone else can see. It’s not on the names in the top right and left of the play screen, it shows a count between the gamertag and your vehicle. I’d be willing to bet that it doesn’t show that count if you don’t have the players gamertag not shown through the game options though.
oh my god your an actual GM… lol i thought he was joking about the name! surprise surprise eh? xD
your name got a chuckle out of me though, good on ya!
I think there are just some people that aren’t aware of the two formats of Next Step battles, and they don’t realize they need to take them back to the base.
They’re probably screaming to themselves about the broken game not counting their points.
