Negative fusions (Fusions that work against the gun) and fusion discoveries in general

So, with all kinds of fusions floating around, what do you think is a bad fusion for a specific gun? Do you think there are some fusions that work against the gun rather than for it? Have you noticed any neat things about any specific fusions?

I think that the current mini pass Swarm is a lesser Swarm than the original one from the main pass (mini Swarm has -spread, main pass Swarm has +projectile speed) And the reduced spread makes aiming and using the Swarms way more tedious than stock Swarms, and without any real benefit from the reduced spread.

Sure, you can hit more accurately, but trying to hit anything outside the size of a Leviathan (so regular pvp) becomes way more tedious, while the original Swarms increased rocket speed feels way better as that makes hitting targets a bit easier as your rockets go faster to where you’re pointing. In fact I’d say that all things considered, +speed is a better accuracy perk than -spread

Don’t get me wrong, the other buffs are pretty nice, like the increased reload speed, but I’d say the other one is the superior product between the two fused Swarms

Anyone else have any interesting discoveries like this? Another discovery in the same vein I have made is that Nest with the +rocket turn speed fusion hits enemies as close as a Steppe Spider makes stock/non-rocket-turning fused Nests hit, freeing you to use other cabins while still being able to hit enemies as close as a Steppe Nest build could

You actually need REDUCE spread on swarms as much as possible.
There’s a reason why most top player builds are using steppe spider / torero as their cab and one or two harmonizers. Reducing spread on swarm means all of your “random bullshit go” rockets are literally MELTING through enemy builds.

In that recent BfU i’ve got a guy with swarms who was really annoying. Literally 1 click and my hover with ~2k weapon HP is degunned

I’ve noticed with any explosive damage weapon that spams multiple explosions (Swarm, Youngwang, Thresher, Lucifer) focusing too much of the explosions into a singular spot takes away from overall destruction, meaning too much accuracy hurts the weapons performance

I don’t know if it’s by design (Part gets destroyed but explosions already happening at the moment of part destruction do not reach further parts), or if it’s bugged (too many explosions at once too near each other cancel each other out somehow) but that is how it feels like

On a Swarm for example, the accuracy boost from Steppe is enough to make it super-accurate. Going any further just does not feel like it works in practice. Projectile speed double perk (fused gun itself + Steppe) makes hitting anything much more easier in general than doubling with accuracy (fused gun + steppe) because the missiles will take a longer time to fly to the aiming circle. At close distances it’s not very noticeable but from medium distance + forward it’s very noticeable. If I was using Steppe-Swarm build and could choose between -20% spread +50% missile speed VS -50% spread +20% missile speed I’d go with the bigger speed personally because it makes hitting an enemy much easier in general
