Lobbies have been infested with devourers, sometimes more than 50% of players in one game are using them.
There are hundreds of weapons in the game yet almost half of the people are using devourers and it might be time to ask why.
In clan wars this is even worse… With our last clan wars session having 40 out of the 96 players using devourers. Most teams are made up of 2-3 devourer cars and it’s just the same thing over and over.
The guns absolute shooting power combined with it’s impulse there is nothing but other devourers that can really compete. When they are disarmed do not worry, they will come at you at 100+ kph ramming you to death.
The gun has one of the highest durability of any weapon in the game. It’s damage is enough to destroy many builds especially hovers in one burst. It’s reload time is similar to most other cannons in the game meaning they can do 2-3x the damage of for example a mastadon and have similar durability and more accurate range.
It’s time to balance this weapon a bit please, thank you!
I’m not sure what power score you play at but of course if your are below 15k you won’t see as many. As far as being too weak? I don’t think 40 out of 96 players in silver/gold cw would play them if they weren’t the best there is right now.
Sure you are right I don’t own them but I don’t really want to own them. They are not a weapon I would enjoy playing and I don’t need to play it since all my teammates already do so. The cw meta right now is horrible and needs to be changed. All devourers and meatgrinder cars with 7-8k hp.
Wow, meat grinders are now being used in CW? I’m very happy to hear that!
Just out of curiosity, what platform are you on? Sometimes metas don’t shift the same on the different platforms. I’m not playing high PS that much these days, as I’m more excited about CC and BfU.
But I do still play a bunch of builds that are around 12kPS, and haven’t noticed many devourers at that level on PS4.
I wouldn’t say that. Even down at 9kPS you see relics relatively often. And turns out I was closer to 13kPS, so I have lots of matches with 15kPS builds.
I’m not trying to say you’re misrepresenting things, just that I’m not seeing this gun much myself, and curious why.
