I thought they were headed towards doing that when they put the heli’s in. Like hovers could then rotate and converted to jet like craft i.e like the traditional flying cars were thought about for a number of years. Then you’d have a few types of flying that could go on in the game.
I cannot say Gerridas are balanced after my first Confrontation Session. They are hovers with the stability and durability of ML200 capped at 70kmh. They even have the diagonal acceleration that they have repeatedly nerfed and removed from omnis/augers. While they are slower, in practice they really aren’t because they maintain top speed far far better than omnis and augers.
The Gerrida Omamori is the new meta. Hover omamoris aren’t as practical anymore because they get crippled/immobilized long before they lose their guns, and they get bullied around in CQC.
I knew these would be OP, just as I called Hermits and Sabbaths would be.
They are strong in this mode.
I plan to build more spiders and hovers for 9k
Somehow the game is starting to fall apart muhehe he
if you think that something is OP stop to cry and use it, after we can see how strong is item and how weak is some player that lose 90% of game and ask for nerf everytime !
this isnt only for you i speak abouth all player that ask for nerf because they arent able to use it or to do a good build.
I agree with badgypoo - the unfortunate situation for durable parts are that because mobile high stability options like the gerridas have PLENTY of durability so as to make any further durability undesired. This makes gerridas a bad target choice for enemies due to how durable they are and how even a single leg can still maneuver quite well. It’s large hit box DOES NOT offset this. This gives it UNFAIRLY LOW LIABILITY for a movement part with such stability, independence and agility!! This is undeniably obvious. So why use a more durable part at all? In most cases it’s not needed.
All while with two or a single wheel you’d be lucky not to spin yourself into a seizure!
By nerfing gerridas you’ll bring back the tasteful variety of movement parts that have their niches stolen by brainless gerridas.
Maybe make it so when gerridas receive impulse/explosive force they can become unstable /lose power when taking damage. Or even better make them take additional ram damage. I mean they’re THIN LITTLE SPIDER LEGS BUT YET YOU EXPLODE YOUR HUMPBACK RAMMING A SINGLE ONE FOR 500 DMG! LOL
if somebody think that 1 item is op, buy or craft it and use it and stop to cry.
exactly what here.
The problem is how many spiders you seen before Gerridas in CW?
Like almost none…
Why? Because sadly speed matters, so legs were always in weaker position.
Hovers replaced almost everything except dogs, and why you dont complain about this.
Currently in CW there are mostly hovers / fire-dogs / gerridas
Not to mention most higher tiers always have this 1 flash on porcs/dogs.(hopefully they balance it now, but still not enough imo)
So its not about Gerrida. Legs should get Big BUFF in general, not nerf like you want. ML and Bigrams should get buff to being used again. Same like other parts that are not used in competetive games.
Gerrida is almost same popular as Hovers? GOOD, very good, at least some movement part is almost same popular as this hover meta.
And if you complain about them, like brutal said above, use them yourself and stop saying stupid things.
Or maybe you should first complain about hovers since they are still most common in competetive CW/battles.
Its good if something is used, devs should rather buff things that are unused rather than letting again 1 movement part be used for all builds.
And if you link some reddit topics, exactly same situation, you can find 999 topics about nerf hovers or nerf scorps or nerf dogs or nerf “anything-i-dont-like” too.
If real problem is 9k PS mode, just add more PS to them and problem solved.
You just haven’t found it, if you go find a post I’ve ever made, you won’t say this
Leaving aside the fact that it’s going to end up strengthening other mobility devices to what extent, if it’s just buffing the weaker items without nerfing the stronger ones, in the end all the items are going to get stronger and stronger, and I don’t think that’s going to be a good outcome
For example who invented that retchers should have 230% plus damage. Its granades launcher its strong enough without this plus ability, because has area damage + hovers and in raid you only see on this players how shoot everything what moves and you can ride only around map its really not fun. And next problem is they must gon on close distance that make block aim firing rangeline of others players. The grenade launcher should attack from long distance because when granade blow destroy everything around.
Nerf incoming, don’t worry.
-Gerrida I
Tonnage reduced from 1600 to 1400 kg.
Comment: at the moment, this is the “strongest” movement part in the game. It allows you to assemble very durable and fairly fast and maneuverable vehicles. At this point, we wouldn’t want to limit the main features of these mechanical legs (speed and mobility) in any way, so we decided to make changes to their tonnage and make vehicles with them lighter and more vulnerable. The edit comes on top of the above changes to tonnage recalculation and the use of additional movement parts on the car.
Of course they are going to nerf the Gerrida. That’s the program with all Battle Passes apparently; release OP crap, sell it, then nerf it, then release new OP stuff, sell it, then nerf it…Crossout: Wash-Rinse-Repeat.
For me this will probably buff my spider’s situation. My Gerrida bug monster is already bad-ass, for whatever reason, and well under weight. Once everybody else’s spiders are nerfed, this should move mine up the ladder a little…unless the fusion update cancels that.
I suspect we might often overestimate how much the Devs intend this dynamic. Most BPs have a bunch of things that sound good on paper, but that never really catch on, and a few things that end up being OP. I think that’s more the result of no public testing of the new items. They can make good guesses at how strong something might be, but the community will always find unintended ways of using those new tools.
Like you, I’m not worried about any Gerrida nerf, as I am already treating them as light legs. Want more tonnage? Use one of the other legs instead.
That’s for sure.
This game needs a good balance update bad, and I hope it goes well…especially that fusion thing. That one sounds like it could have “unintended consequences” for sure. It could take a patch or two, I suppose. Sometimes it does, but I’m glad that they are addressing the balance this time around.
There’s also another seasonal update coming soon too, right? With more goodies and fun?
Things could get better than I think it is presently, and soon.
