Nerf on all infinite ammo weapons

I don’t even need to say much, right? In a game where there are legendary weapons, like machine guns with over 1k durability and infinite ammo.

These weapons are long overdue for a nerf, and the nerf I’m suggesting isn’t even about damage, but about adding a maximum bullet capacity—like 400 shots, for example.

They would still use the same cooling mechanic, but now they would have a bullet limit.

This would prevent the annoying meta of building hoverbikes and fast cars, relentlessly spraying bullets and abusing this poorly thought-out mechanic.

what the hell kind of machine gun are you looking at because i want one!
the only machinegun with over 1k durability is the devourer at 1076 iirc. however i havent seen anyone using that. most machineguns in the game are weak and can be shot off pretty easily, look at arbiters. reapers have 520 hp but with the omamori its more like 820 hp. i find this a bit stupid but what can you do?

the thing is though… reloading weapons have a disadvantage over constant fire weapons like that. they need ammo packs and cooldown to reload. i dont agree with the ammo bit for those weapons but i think a slight buff to reload weapons would help considering alot of weapons have long reload times and quite low hp for what they are.

Cannons don’t have that much durability. Hell, there are 15k PS vehicles that have under 1.5k hp.

The Punisher only has 300 durability, and yes, the Devourer has a little over 1k (1076), but A. it’s due for a nerf and B. it’s massive and heavily armored, so it makes sense from a lore perspective. It’s also very difficult to use effectively, with you unable to stop the burst after firing it.

2nd bad idea in one day. Mgs aren’t meta at all. One of the counter for the brick meta. If you would play the game in different PS brackets, you could realise there are other unbalanced weapons like draco or raijin which are cousing big issues… You definetaly don’t play them otherwise you wouldn’t want to nerf them. Try them and you will realise how many counter they have.

and dont forget it has stupidly low amounts of ammo. only 7 packs of rounds so you better be packing mountains of expanded ammo packs.

we can discuss overpowered weapons all day but targem is incapable of nerfing even draco or raijin so whats the point

Machine guns, miniguns, overall continuous fire hover mouse over enemy dps weapons have needed a nerf for a long time now

Some of them did get some, like millers in recent memory, and some were never that great, like gungnirs, but overall they’re far superior to a lot of guns. These guns can counter any build, any playstyle at almost any range
