New Cabin Suggestions

Hey guys, first time poster here but long time lurker. I have had a few ideas kicking around and wondered what everyone thinks of them. Obviously exact numbers can be tweaked but I was more hoping for feedback on the general idea of the cabin.

Cabin 1: Armadillo
Rarity: Legendary
Type: Heavy
Energy: 11
Mass: TBD (thinking similar to cohort)
Tonnage: TBD (same as above)
Weight: TBD (same as above)
Durability: 400

Perk: This cabin features 2 switchable modes (like the omnibox)
Mode 1: increases the speed of all attached armored tracks and legs by 15 kph
Mode 2: adds 20% damage resistance to all movements parts attached to the armored car
min 5 seconds between mode switches

-The idea behind this cab is to provide a nice bonus to track and leg users. The thought process is that they can use the speed boost to get into the fray and then use the resistance bonus to keep themselves in the fight for longer.

Cabin 2: The Sacrifice
Rarity: Legendary
Type: Heavy
Energy: 11
Mass: TBD (thinking similar to echo or ermak)
Tonnage: TBD (same as above)
Weight: TBD (same as above)
Durability: 325

Perk: This cabin features an active ability with a passive component
Active component- upon activation the cabin will project a spherical magnetic absorption field centered on the cab itself (size and duration subject to balancing). Any projectile that passes through this field will be instead redirected directly to the cabin of the armored vehicle at 50% damage. (basically imagine it like a larger aegis prime field that instead of taking damage, redirects it to the vehicle instead)
Passive component: Every 1000 damage taken by the armored vehicle will accumulate a stack, up to a maximum of 5 stacks. Each stack will give the armored vehicle 5% self destruct radius and 10% self destruct damage. Upon reaching max stacks the armored vehicle will gain the ability to self destruct immediately with no delay.

-the thought process behind this cab is something that can directly protect their teammates or break through a well protected deadlocked choke point.

The armidillo defeats its own purpose being a heavy cabin i think. You could gain +15 kph, but if your max speed it 70, the legs coming out already go 70 themselves. But i like the idea of it. It would be a boon for slower tracks and legs.

I guess im salvitating at the thought of it reaching 85 kph and making the new legs go that fast. 8 legged freak vibes for sure lol.

The second cabin could be sweet, but sounds OP at those numbers. The passive perk would be meh, but the active perk could make it so you could negate all sorts of damage keeping your guns alive for a very long time and at 50% damage reduction on a heavy cab, it would act as a bastion cab on steroids im guessing.

I do like both and think they should be immediately added to the coming battlepass lol.

Thanks for the feedback! To address your comments they could always make the perk of the cab bypass max cabin speed like the golden eagle does. I designed it more with the older legs and tracks in mind so the new legs will likely be faster anyway. But it would allow the old school ml-200s to go 65 which would be fun and also allow some of the heavier tracks to go 70-75km.

As for the sacrifice there are a few things you could do to address your issue with it, like lowering the damage resist from 50-25 or even lower if it becomes an issue. Or reduce the active time on the perk to something like 5 seconds. Additionally idk if you ever been shot with Helios a bunch before but direct cabin damage is quite painful and can drop you pretty quick. Some testing is definitely in order because i honestly have no idea on how the cab would actually perform.

When reading the 2nd, at first I was thinking, yeah, we’ve heard this before (a magnetic part), but then you went of the rails. You really think outside the box. I like it. I really like the 2nd build idea. It’d be a heck of a trolling rig, and great addition to teams of players. Imagine that cabin with boosters at the beginning of a match & racing into the enemies. :joy: Ultimate troll-build, kinda’ like we saw at the end of the helicopter event.

I would really love a legendary light cabin that has a nitro boost as a perk. It should feel different from the existing boosters, in that it doesn’t just push you in the direction of the booster, and follows your steering instead.
Should allow you to break the 120 barrier, but has a cooldown once you overheat. Maybe it should charge by being near a corpse?

Ever ridden in a nitro boosted car?
I have a few times, and once got to see the engine give up the ghost in front of me. That was fun.

Imagine your nitro boosted car doing something similar to what the boosters do to you if you go too fast… they explode. But, instead of the whole rig blowing up, you just lose like 50% of your power.

For me the inspiration for the sacrifice was watching the deadlocked matches on maps like founders canyon. It always seemed like there had to be one guy to make that sacrificial push and I wanted a cab that facilitated that. In essence the enemies are forced to shoot at the cab because it is catching all their damage. Then you can take out a high value target with a high explosive detonation. Imagine it with grizzly and sabbath wheels.
