New Faction Announced

You don’t really need meta weapons to appreciate 4en.

I always enjoy new parts, those are odd looking for what parts the say they are and I’m not talking about how they are stylized.

I can’t say I’m that thrilled with the passive cab perk mostly because I’ve requested that featured perk just be reworked onto existing drones a number of times. As for the active perk I wonder how short that perk activation time is, sounds like if you hit it at the wrong time you might pre-kill some drones.

That’s exactly the trap I’ve fallen into.

I like the more basic Mad Max or Twisted Metal type game (we’ve had this discussion) where players actually aim their weapons, and drive around in rusty, grungy cars, so those guns and modules up top (relics and legendaries) don’t appeal to me much. I don’t grind for them, I don’t want them, and this game offers me a lot of nothing in what most other kids would probably call “progression.” I think the top and most of the middle game sucks hard. JMO.

The first time I’m hit with a weapon somebody didn’t even have to point at me with, I’m done having fun. That’s basically cheating from my perspective, and I’m blind to how that’s considered a fun “game.” I simply don’t get it. I’ve learned to live with it, because there’s a lot more to this game, fortunately, but…whatever.

Ya, I don’t need or want Legendary anything, especially cabs. That stuff doesn’t do anything for me but cause trouble. I’m into the structure parts, paint, and decor, period.

They should work on the “Special” cab category, because it sucks and needs help, I think. Then I might be interested. All the perks and pew-pew, IJDGAF about. It’s actually less than that. I don’t like it or want it, and if I could play without it, in a game devoid of it, I would like that game a whole lot more than the one I’m playing. I would probably spend money on it too, like I used to.

I’m done with the pay to play model unless something major changes, I think. I’ve had some cash just dying to be blown on this game, but I can’t justify it anymore. I skipped the last BP (was the first one I skipped), and I’ll probably skip this one too. I don’t want the legendary goodies or the Stabilizers, I’m only interested in the structure parts, and I can get those by simply playing. So, I will probably switch over to my F2P account, and they can kiss my cashless arse.

My F2P account is more fun anyway, despite all the goodies I have on this one. I do miss some of it, but the matches are less skewed, the queues are quicker, and I’m not being penalized for being a good customer.

I’m a consumer, not a milk cow. If they offer me something I like and can use, I’ll be happy to buy it. It’s hard for me to respect any other sale model…well, maybe I do respect a good hustle a little, but this ain’t one.

Yep. You get a new player addicted to top end gear and before you know it, he is $1000 into the game and plotting how to fuse some relics. The deep end of the Wasteland swimming pool is where the big money is at.

A new 5X4X2 generator (40 blocks) is exciting and going to set up a whole new line of builds. Apollo is 8X8X2 or 128 blocks.

i hate the availability on a timer.
15 levels of faction and permanent availability would be preferable

I am very happy about the new generator.
One of the main reasons I prefer mid PS to high PS is the speed. I hate having to compromise my high PS fast wheeled builds, and this generator should allow me to build the cars I prefer at higher power scores.
On the downside, it looks like the new generator will probably make my harvester builds useless due to the explosive aspect.

Aw crud. I didn’t think of that. What is it going to do to Firebugs?

i want a winter themed garage >.>
hopefully they come with one.
still very excited for a new faction!
cant wait to see the new blueprints we will get

Apparently, that is a typo, and they have changed the announcement to read as follows:
“The cabin’s form factor is very convenient and suitable for various purposes. Its length is 8 “pins”, width — 6 “pins”, and its height is 5 “pins”.”

I will edit the post and correct that here as well…I thought it was odd.

It’s funny, but lately, the structural parts are the only ones I’ve been digging. The Haraate, Mengu, Gessan, Elbows, Kohires and now the King of Birds are much more fun to me than any of the weapons/cabs or modules they’ve come out with lately. I largely feel that way because I think I probably play the game the way you do.

Spot on. Of the cabs I use, it’s typically only Rares, Commons (for real), Epics, or the Beholder.

I have all 3 Special cabs… fused, even. I can’t remember the last time I bothered with them.

Same… I’ve skipped a few of them - especially when I realized if I wait a few weeks, the structural bits will show up in the badge exchange. I just got the King of Birds, and am looking forward to building with those far more than I’m any new cab, modules or guns. I’ll probably use them much more frequently.

That’s funny… I and two of my kids play on this account. They LOVE getting blueprints. I’s absolutely one of their favorite aspects right along with browsing the exhibition and test driving other people’s creations.

I literally do not care about either. It doesn’t even show up on my radar. Hey, we all play according to what we find fun… Until they started playing, I didn’t understand why they even included blueprints with different levels of progression. I get it now!

Shh, they haven’t figured out yet that they test concepts for other games in “mini-modes”…

I love getting new structure parts. Sometimes I’ll start a whole new build just to try a new fender or something.
I’m more focused on grinding out all the prestige faction parts than new guns right now.

Funny you say that. One thing I wish I’d realized early on was that once I maxed out a faction, I needed to switch to a different one to get those structural parts. I’m grinding the factions now, too… after years of ignoring this. Sitting at level 14 with the Stepps at the moment. Considering their structural parts are the OP parts for the copters, I’m really regretting my overlooking all of this for so long.

I must have those too. I like passive melee. A lot. And, those are unusually nice pieces. Whoever does the art for this game is pretty darn good, IMO…never mind that new “savior” cab. It’s exceptionally bad, IMO, but even their bad stuff is still pretty good.

I tried active melee and it was ridiculous, IMO. Not just because it’s simple or boring, but because the matchmaker would put all the active melee players in the same matches, where literally everybody, plus a Bot or two was using it. It’s like a crap shoot, where whoever manages to get hit on the side once looses. God forbid you’re the one guy running shotguns or something in a match like that. I’ve been that guy, and the way it would go is that by the time I’ve made my first kill, the rest of my team would be dead…run, rabbit. Run.

Typically the snow is too bright for my eyes, but this time around they turned the lights down real nice, and I liked that pretty good. They are pretty, and this new faction would be a good excuse for a winter themed garage.

The other thing I like about winter maps is the ice. I know some kids were complaining about it, because the traction sucks, but I was liking it a moment ago, in game. I tend to build car shaped cars, that look like cars, and handle like cars, while a good portion of the game rides wonky Dr. Seuss mobiles that handle like wonky Dr. Seuss mobiles…with great-big fancy guns. I led some poor cat out onto the ice in his wonky Dr. Seuss mobile, and I felt the home field advantage pretty strong there. I like drifting. I think it’s fun. He did not. Poor kid. God rest his soul.
So ya, if the lights were dim I could go for more snow maps, especially ones with ice. Lots of ice.

I’m not sure I’d dish out the kind of money they want for a premium garage, but I can definitely see the beauty in having one. I do like the work the artists here at Crossout do. The game mechanics? Meh…IDK, it’s pretty hit and miss, I think, but the art is top shelf, IMO.

get it? xD

dunno what you mean, i slide around like i normally do all the time in my car. 6 bigfoots apparently have 0 traction in everything lol.

im wishing theyd put more into the game like a battle field far north or even a raid / mission far north for various reasons.

it is a bit much but honestly i think they did an amazing job on the visuals and some of the garages. my home is the… i forget what the garage is called but i like to think its the steppenwolves faction type of garage. other then that i love the art the devs do.

i was thinking in the future theyd have a “steam punk” themed faction to. i kinda like the steam punk theme to. i just like mechanical stuff lol. gears, cogs, etc.

Its a snow faction. A drone cab and a small 4 energy generator. The drone cabins model looks amazeing. I wish it wasnt for drones. I could do so much with that cab shape im in love.

I wonder if we get a legendary weapon set too. I feel like the new weapon will introduce a new mechanic. Some kind of cooling or frezzing or cold type weapon maybe?

Ps its a steampunk faction. The part models look fantastic.

I think they did this for a racing game they made.

I do the 20 side missions in Adventure every week for the 100 badges. About the fastest way to accomplish this for me is a fast grenadier build with the Cerb cab to take out any unfortunate bots I come across. The new melee birds work great along with the hatchets & bladewings to funnel them into the mouth of the Cerberus. Looks pretty cool, too.

Don’t be afraid, that’s an awesome generator.
Listen, i still prefer the gas gen over the Apollo, and it has much more durability than an Apollo because of all the armour around it on my heavy build
Bootstrap i don’t even think in putting it in any my builds.
4 energy, lightweight, and more compact, that’s a sweet sweet combination.
An Apollo in a medium or light build was a massive trade off that i never could negotiate.
Let’s see it final stats.

Plus a plow
plus more high durability pieces

It’s looking good, if this keeps up this way, i’m definitely buying this BP.
I just hope i’m not be carried away by this initial teaser, might this be a Guiding Star successor?
Fingers cross that will be a yes.

Mostly I like cheese on pizza, or sandwiches, but nobody makes pizza with anchovies anymore, so I just can’t justify buying one in this economy, until an actual bot is elected president.
