When I stop having fun, because I have to be an ugly car, and it makes me sad that my car is an ugly-Meta mobile, or when everybody is spamming aim-free weapons, but I have to aim mine, and then the matchmaker starts giving me free wins, because I suck so bad, but I loose anyway, because I’m tired of fleeing from Vultures, dodging missiles, mine spam, and porc barrels, and I’ve just stopped trying. It’s somewhere in there.
Tenshiijin has some pretty groovy looking builds that I think work up in that 9K range, and if I could figure out how to build like that, I might like it better. It just seems like I’m heaping gratuitous crap on my build that I don’t really want or need, just to bring my build to 9K, and I wonder what’s the point…The queues are a lot better at 9K that’s for sure.
I like the Dieselpunk theme a lot, so I’m bound to try it all. Maybe, I’ll figure out a build I like with this new stuff that works for me at 9K. IDK. I don’t appear to have whatever “skills” it takes to make that fun, yet. Maybe one day.
My other issue with the game at 9K is that it takes a lot longer to build that stuff, and takes more focus on specializations, perks need aligned, stuff needs fused, and I just don’t have the attention span, I guess. I want to build something new pretty regularly, and it’s easy to build cool stuff with this game, but not so much at 9K.
Often (nearly always) when I have gone through the trouble, fused stuff, and aligned all the perks, and found what works from all the crap that doesn’t, I build something I like, then they nerf it and make it useless. Then, I feel like a sucker, and wonder why I’m chasing that dragon, anyway? It seems like too much trouble, when I can counter all those homing missiles, mine spam, and porc-barrels by simply playing under 6K. Call it an exploit. I think it’s the most effective way to dodge homing missiles.
