We had fun raid on citadel map vs lunatics as we realized we fed up and tower was damaged, so we had to try really hard to catch all lancers - it was fun.
A pal of our needed his “melee kill in raid” challenge, it was last one, and he lost all his weapons. We pushed the last surviving enemy car without wheels under the bridge and had him drop on it till ti exploded. Took forever and was ridicolously fun.
Raids can be fun if youo make them, there is a possibility - but some Dev has to care about it.

Reading some of them replys for a new player…it would have make me run… 
1st , are you playing on PC ,xbox or ps4? MM be a little different from each.
2nd, if I remember correctly new players are blocked from trading until at higher level. So, you are not able to buy some of them higher grade goods. But, you should’t be worry. Your basic white craftable items should able you to take on builds around your PS. If you find players has better weapons, they most likely be a glass cannon. ie they can’t take real hits.
I do sometimes use white weapons to do missions even now. On low PS, which you should stay on. you should have a speedily build. Learn the map and peek-a-boo spots if you use MG. Ambush if you use shotguns. Learn to react and place your build with cannons. Don’t be the target, follow your teams bots. Attack busy enemy. Runaway and hide if you have to.
